Good stuff Botev :win:. Portland are now 3-3 without Aldridge and he'll surely miss some time as he's dealing with a thumb injury that requires surgery.

That surgery has been put off (not sure how long for) and I think that's a ridiculous decision. Missing 6-8 weeks isn't ideal but they hold an 8.5 game lead in a playoff spot and surely it would be best to miss some time now than lose him for longer and possibly during the postseason
Imagine my shock when I saw the news he will actually play tonight and postpone the surgery required. These athletes surely have little respect for their bodies!

Good win tonight by Knicks, are they getting back on track?

On track for what? They are headed for a long rebuilding process. Should be happy to get more than 25 wins this season.

They've hit a decent patch, going 5-2 since breaking their 16 game losing streak. However, other than New Orleans (who were 20-20 at the time) and Oklahoma (23-22), they've beaten three really poor teams in Philadelphia (8-33), Orlando (15-30) and the Lakers (13-34).

It's great to see them winning some games but they'll need a few more before we can declare they've turned a corner

Laying the Hawks paid off in terms of the spread against Sixers, but tonight looks as good time as ever to buy value on the Pelicans with Davis returning. They have the range to stay with the Hawks shooting which did not seem up to par last time.

Pelicans -3 @ 3.10
Pelicans ML @ 2.40

Miami are an interesting bet tonight at 8/5, they have a good record on the road and face a very poor Detroit side.

The Thunder are missing the heart of the team for this match - Kevin Durant so I think that Pelicans should win again tonight under the leadership of All-Star center Anthony Davis.
Take New Orleans

Other picks:
Detoit +4.5
Raptors -7.5
Minnesota

I like Portland tonight -4.5. Having Robin Lopez back is a big boost and they were just 13-10 without him. Not actually that bad of a record but consider they are 20-6 with him in the lineup and it's a big drop off.

With Lillard and Aldridge able to put up big points on their night I think the 40/1 about them to win the title represents a bit of value. A lot depends on them staying in the Top 4 though as they currently have the worst road record of any of the current Top 8 in the West

The Clippers are on a mini wobble at the moment with three straight defeats and the recent memory of a spectacular collapse against Oklahoma City in last season's playoffs.

With Durant back, Thunder -4 is the pick for me

As I was writing the above post some bookmakers were starting to suspend their lines which I thought was strange.

Turns out the Clippers have announced Griffin is out until at least the All-Star break for surgery on a staph infection and the lines have reopened with Thunder -7.5.

Griffin being out doesn't guarantee anything of course but it's nice to be on the -4 when the line is going to start 3-4 points higher :win:

Line moved by 3 points in a matter of minutes and not only because of Blake being out, but because JJ is also out and Rivers is dealing with injury too. Clips totally out of options tonight so no wonder the line moves so much. I managed to get it at -4.5 exactly 2 minutes before it jumped to -6.5 and now -8 at some places.
