I get the odd feeling Debbie McGee is a good enough dancer but wont progress to the final six.
Was looking around for stuff and found this article from back in August that suggests Debbie McGee might have to quit "SCD" as she has panto commitments in December.

I have no idea if this still is true though.

Elimination Betting for Halloween -
Simon Rimmer 1.72
Ruth Langsford 4
Davood Ghadami 7.5
Susan Calman 8.5
Mollie King 19
Joe McFadden 34
Jonnie Peacock 41
Debbie McGee 81
Gemma Atkinson 101
Alexandra Burke 251
Aston Merrygold 251

The Blog is up early this week and will be updated once the couples have danced https://www.olbg.com/blogs/post.php?id=413136

Simon is the huge favourite to go, but I think there will be a surprise elimination this week. Jonnie is going to struggle with the Cha Cha and maybe his time will be up. He's 41 with bet365 and will be a huge shock.

Do you think Simon sill survive?

Not sure about Debbie quitting, I think she's doing better than most thought. I suppose from next week on, we will start to see just how popular people really are with the public.

No way Susan goes tonight unless the producers want her out.

Looking at Oddschecker. there's been a slight nibble on Davood and Mollie but understandably it's mostly Simon that's got most of the money. We are due a 'shock' elimination as "SCD" always seems to do but I doubt Debbie is it even if she apparently has had a few wagers on her, her odds haven't dipped below 50/1 (industry worst odds over at Ladbrokes as the industry standard is 66/1).

Hmmm. SImon vs. Mollie in the dance-off...and Simon is gone. The chef had a heavily strapped thigh and was moving clunkier than he usually did.

and then there were 10!

Elimination Betting

Ruth Langsford 2.62
Davood Ghadami 3
Susan Calman 6
Jonnie Peacock 9
Mollie King 9
Joe McFadden 26
Gemma Atkinson 41
Debbie McGee 67
Alexandra Burke 101
Aston Merrygold 101

I think it will be something like Davood v Jonnie in the dance off this week as Ruth and Susan maintain their support. If that happens, Jonnie would go!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strictly_ ... 15)#Week_7

Week 7 scores...

Debbie and Giovanni - 40
Alexandra and Gorka - 39
Joe and Katya - 36
Davood and Nadiya - 35
Susan and Kevin - 29
Jonnie and Oti - 27
Mollie and AJ - 27
Gemma and Aljaz - 26
Aston and Janette - 25
Ruth and Anton - 22

Unbelievable result and that's this year's shock elimination sorted. No idea if anyone was on Aston to leave...didn't pay attention to the odds in-running so no idea if a betting sting was on.

Absolute shenanigans regardless. Eamonn Holmes has indicated he will be there for Ruth in Blackpool...never realized how much pull this man has. Susan is almost assuredly still going to Blackpool.

Debbie McGee has now become favourite which superficially seems insane but if she gets to the final, she likely has a fanbase big enough to make it happen. Ed Sheeran is a fan of her's apparently.

I don't watch SCD although my wife is a devout aficianado. I preferred Barca v Sevilla. I did look at the in-play elimination prices to try and create some domestic harmony and noticed that Aston's price to go was 50/1 (bet365) compared to 200/1 for Debbie and Alexandra. It meant nothing to me but my better half said as these were the top three to win outright, the 50/1 might suggest Aston was 'dancing' on thin ice. I was tempted to put a few pennies on Aston but when did I last have a 50/1 winner? Meanwhile back at the Camp Nou......

Pre show, Aston was 101 to go with bet365, I didn't see the inplay betting, but even though the dance wasn't great, I still didn't have him down to go. The dance wasn't pitched right though and the public didin't come out to support them. BIG shock that will have all of them now wondering who's next!
