No idea how this 'six couples dance on Friday, nine couples dance on Saturday, votes are carried over to the next week' malarkey is going to work.

The dances and songlists have been released.

Ed and Lesley in danger regardless but pure cheese reeks from their choices.

Meanwhile...Karen Hardy could be replacing Len Goodman.

I do like Karen Hardy, she really knows her stuff. She would do well if given the chance.

Heh. William Hill go over/under 12.5 points as to what Ed Balls will get tonight. All it takes is some soppy sods (looking at Bruno, Darcey and Len) to give him a couple of 5s and this could sail over.

Ed Balls is unsurprisingly the odds-on favourite to go out first.

Scores for Ed: Craig 5, Darcey 5, Len 6 and Bruno 5 so 21 sailing over the fairly low total of 12.5.

Easy in hindsight.

Lots of couples overscored tonight, but there were some very decent performances for first dances. The betting has changed greatly.

Week 1b scores:

Daisy Lowe 32
Danny Mac 31
Louise Redknapp 31
Will Young 30
Anastacia 28
Tameka Empson 26
Claudia Fragapane 26
Melvin Odoom 22
Ed Balls 21

Updated first elimination odds:

Ed Balls may have a surprising fanbase to keep him from being in the bottom two. Feel Lesley and Melvin could be spoilers if Ed somehow survives.

Updated outright winner odds:

I'm not convinced by Danny Mac being the new favourite but if he 'Harry Judds' his way through the competition then I'll have to concede I got it very wrong.

Superficially this could be the most competitive series since Abbey Clancy outlasted Natalie Gumede, Susanna Reid and Sophie Ellis-Bextor.

Hmmm. Danny Mac and Louise Redknapp now head the outright winner market. Melvin Odoom uh, doomed to be first out?

Ed did very well tonight, with Melvin Struggling as you predicted stereoman.

My money is still on Ed though!
