WWE Royal Rumble 2016!!

Postby Gibbard2002 » Fri Jan 15, 2016 1:37 pm

Who's ready for some wrestling?!

Now I know not everybody loves this kind of stuff but I do, and there are some great bets to be had month on month at the PPV's. Sunday 24th January we have the annual Royal Rumble.

Everybody knows the rules even if you don't watch WWE and everybody loves watching the Rumble.

HHH is this years favourite and hasn't even wrestled for months. He is just going odds on with bookies right now but Ladbrokes do have some 7/4 available.

I back the Undertaker year on year at big prices but I always make sure I get non runner money back. Nobody is offering this right now (that I know of), but I did get some on with him at Ladbrokes NRMB in November. If he ever turns up he wins and this is his final year of competing so hopefully the dongs are coming!!

The bet I love right now is with Unibet. They have match bets on who will go further in the Rumble.

I'm taking The Undertaker to go further than the Wyatt Family member 'Braun Strowman' @ 18/25 with Unibet. Now this is a huge bet for me and you get your money back if 1 or neither are in the match so no risk betting basically!

Anybody have any thoughts on the winner? HHH is poor value right now - Brock Lesnar maybe??? :win:

Have not watched wrestling in years do they know who will be entering the rumble at what number or is it being decided on the night and is HHH still with Stephanie McMahon?I have been informed the current champion has to win the rumble to keep his belt.

oh yes the title is on the line!! HHH isn't even confirmed for the match. He's supposed to be a 'surprise'. He's odds on with Unibet for the #30 spot but no, the numbers don't get released now a days unless they say the #1 or #30 spot a week or two before.

All we know is Big Show is #1 so his 7/1 for most eliminations looks fairly appealing. He has no chance of winning though

HHH is still with Steph, part of the current 'authority' :win:

It will be a huge surprise when the favorite to win the match enters and i see Wayne Rooney and Donald Trump are at 150/1 i think they are a bit short to be honest.

Royal Rumble 2016 is an upcoming professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by WWE. It will take place on January 24, 2016 at Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. It will be the 29th event under the WWE Royal Rumble chronology and the first WWE pay-per-view of 2016. This will be the fifth Royal Rumble to be held in the state of Florida after the 1990, 1991, 1995 and 2006 editions. It will be the second Royal Rumble in Orlando since 1990 and the first pay-per-view event at Amway Center since it opened in 2010.

Bray Wyatt has been heavily backed. Now strong 4th favourite but the betting is wide open

The odds will inevitably change as 'those in the know' back the right result.

Odds from SkyBet who probably know better than most as to where the money's going:

* Alberto Del Rio 2/7 vs. 9/4 Kalisto
* Charlotte 8/15 vs. 11/8 Becky Lynch
* Kevin Owens 13/8 vs. 4/9 Dean Ambrose
* The New Day 4/7 vs. 5/4 The Usos

Betfair seem to have taken the 'come on then if your pockets are big enough' approach making every favourite 10/1 ON or worse.

Your winners on Sunday night/Monday morning according to where the money went, barring a late late gamble, are: Triple H (seriously!?), Kalisto (big switch in the odds!), Charlotte, Dean Ambrose and The New Day.

EDIT: Just checked Unibet...they're some WWE fans, aren't they!? Too many odds to put up. So many things you can bet on. Yikes.

To heck with it...here are a bunch of screenshots from Unibet. Apologies to those on a mobile phone as you likely won't be seeing these.
