Yep. Should have realized something was up in that it was primed for Michael Conlan.

Odds as they are now for Sunday night:

Unless there's a plunge in the odds, the top three in the betting are surely the only ones who can win it. Lewis won with 200k+ votes last year but this year could be different.

There are 'surprises' like when Joe Calzaghe won ahead of Lewis Hamilton and Ricky Hatton. I believe Joe was third favourite when with the benefit and luxury of hindsight of course, he shouldn't have been.

The list goes on...Zara Phillips, Chris Hoy beating Lewis Hamilton and Rebecca Adlington, Ryan Giggs effectively winning due to Man United fans and Lewis Hamilton beating Rory McIlroy last year.

There is supposed to be a bit of a gamble on Leeds Rhinos winning 'Team of the Year' ahead of the Great Britain Davis Cup team.

Anyway mostly this event best to watch.
As it seems now some one out of the blue come out of the pack.

As in the Summer Frankie Dettori was up there..
Of course love to see Andy Murray win it. :) like watching Tennis the big ones.
Even like see Lewis Hamilton win it to..

Well had my bet on Frankie ages ago,had a brilliant season to.
Gl everyone who ever you pick..

The money was right as Andy Murray won, Kevin Sinfield second and Jessica Ennis third.

Dan Carter won the Overseas award. The Great Britain Davis Cup team wins Team of the Year.

Vote statistics might be interesting.

Aftereventing it was just strangely guessable in a BBC way. The odds plunged in-running down to 1/4 but it generally does not feel right that Andy Murray should win again so soon.

Ladbrokes seemingly were rooting for Kevin Sinfield.

A report of what happened on the night and the voting breakdown.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/sports-personality/35130585

Huh. There you go. Forces driving Andy Murray's price down and voting accordingly. Kevin Sinfield getting a a surprisingly high number of votes.

Those who thought Lewis Hamilton had a chance must be wondering how he can go from 200k+ votes to less than 50k in a year.

Predict Andy Murray will win for the next few years, Wimbledon is the only major sporting event the BBC can show in its entirety. The majority of viewers aren\'t going to be watching much else.

Ante-post odds from SkyBet:

Jessica Ennis-Hill 7/1
Katarina Johnson-Thompson 7/1
Andy Murray 8/1
Anthony Joshua 14/1
Lewis Hamilton 14/1
Rory McIlroy 14/1
Wayne Rooney 20/1
Mo Farah 22/1
Amir Khan 25/1
Bradley Wiggins 25/1
Dina Asher-Smith 25/1
Chris Froome 28/1
Harry Kane 28/1
Joe Root 28/1
Tyson Fury 28/1
Adam Peaty 33/1
Greg Rutherford 33/1
Lizzie Armistead 33/1
Raheem Sterling 33/1
Laura Trott 40/1
Ronnie O'Sullivan 40/1
Alex Hales 50/1
Daniel Sturridge 50/1
Eoin Morgan 50/1
James Guy 50/1
Jamie Vardy 50/1
Jason Kenny 50/1
Joe Hart 50/1
Jos Buttler 50/1
Nicola Adams 50/1
Tom Daley 50/1
David Weir 66/1
Gary Cahill 66/1
Jack Wilshere 66/1
Johnnie Peacock 66/1
Max Whitlock 66/1
Sam Warburton 66/1
Theo Walcott 66/1
Dame Sarah Storey 80/1
Gareth Bale 80/1
Siobhan Marie O'Connor 80/1
Aled Davies 100/1
Ellie Simmonds 100/1
Geraint Thomas 100/1
Ian Poulter 100/1
Lee Pearson 100/1
Paul Casey 100/1
Phil Taylor 100/1
Sam Burgess 100/1
Tai Woffinden 100/1
Jenson Button 150/1
Chris Robshaw 200/1
Johanna Konta 200/1
Lucy Bronze 200/1

Personally I think they want to pimp someone who's won an Olympic gold preferably Mo Farah or one of the double-barrelled ladies of Jessica Ennis-Hill or Katarina Johnson-Thompson.

There may be an emphasis to put someone from the Paralympics or anyone with a disability on the shortlist after Jordanne Whiley was snubbed this year.

I feel Andy is very unlikely to repeat his Davis Cup heroics or even win a Grand Slam. If one of the Home Nations somehow wins Euro 2016 then all bets are off!

Gareth Bale seems big at 80/1 plays for Real Madrid has a good chance in champions league if he wins that and gets a goal or two in the final them odds will tumble.

Rory Mclroy might be a shout.

After my Sam Burgess tip this year think I'll wait a wee bit longer to make a tip this year!

For me...I cannot understand why Mo Farrar hasn`t already won this...at least once.
How many golds has he won...doesn`t he hold one (maybe two?) record times.
Always thought he was well liked....surely in an Olympic year...he must win given he wins his races again...maybe even one.
Is anyone else going to win more than one gold??
If they do.....get on them for SPOTY...and for a top three as must be just about nailed on IMO
