Looking at the betting I guess Andy Murray is going to win which is fair enough I suppose.

Disappointing not to see speedway champion Tai Woffinden in the ten nominees considering his superhuman effort to carry on riding with a twice broken collarbone and still find time to raise £35,000 for cancer research uk with a sponsored bicycle ride from Wolverhampton to Cardiff on British gp day.

Top man!

The Young SPOTY award will be presented in the Sports Personality of the Year programme. I don't think there's betting for this, but there's some interesting and known names on there this year.

Dina Asher-Smith - Athlete
Jessica Judd - Athlete
Isaac Towers - Wheelchair Athlete
James Guy - Swimmer
Amy Marren - Paralympic Swimmer
Amber Hill - Swimmer
Charley Hull - Golfer
Adnan Januzaj - Footballer
Rebekah Tiler - Weightlifter
Kimberley Woods - Canoeist

These ten will be cut down to three on December 12th and voted for by a panel by secret ballot.

If it was a public vote then I think it would be Adnan Janzaj (who would be the first non British winner), but I'm going for Solheim Cup winner Charley Hull.

What do you think?

Yes....well done Tony McCoy.....but.....surely it is mostly down to the good horses he gets to ride....another top jockey eg Richard Johnson would probably have won somewhere near McCoy`s figure.
That makes his record a little false for me ... and over a few years.
Must be A Murray or Mo Farrar...done it on their own merits...

Surely a contradiction in terms to describe
Andy murrAy as a personality! He's got all the
charisma of a plank of wood. Eddie the Eagle
should have made the list.

Robo have you actually seen murray on any tv shows, like Jonathon Ross etc...,think you'll find he is actually a nice guy with a sense of humour, who doesn't mind making a fool of himself..

Anyways i only replied becasue i'm getting sick of your anti scottish posts tbh,you bring absolutely nothing to these threads, apart from being a complete clown...
