£100 T20 World Cup 2021 Tipping Competition

Postby PompeyJim » Tue Oct 05, 2021 12:07 pm

The 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup gets underway on Sunday 17th October and OLBG are offering members a chance to win a share of £100 in our FREE and easy to enter 2021 ICC T20 World Cup Tipping Competition.

The tournament matches will take place in the U.A.E & Oman and will feature 16 international teams, the top 8 seeded Nations join the tournament after the the Preliminary Group Stage. The initial stage features two groups of 4 Nations with the top two in each group joining the top 8 Nations for the 'Super 12' section.

Joint hosts Oman kick off the tournament against Papua New Guinea on Sunday 17th October, the tournament concludes with the final in Dubai on Sunday 14th November.

The Current ICC Men's T20 champions are the West Indies who beat England in the 2016 final.

Here's a quick check of the tipping competition rules and please feel free to ask any questions below on the thread.

You do not have to enter this separately from the usual monthly Cricket tipping competition. If you are a member of OLBG then you just need to add tips (with comments) on the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 markets from the Cricket section on the ‘Make a Tip’ menu –

The competition is free to enter and you must have 15 or more settled tips (with comments) on the ICC T20 World Cup markets to potentially qualify for a prize.

The outright ICC T20 World Cup market is already available for tipping, additional match markets like Top Batsman, Man of The Match will be available nearer the time when we receive the match and specific market odds. All ICC T20 World Cup markets will count towards the competition.

There is a cash prize fund of £100 with 15 prizes in total up for grabs, distributed as follows:

Winner: £25 (The tipster finishing the competition with the highest LSP, with at least 15 tips with comments placed and 10 profitable tips).
Runner Up: £10
3rd to 15th: £5

This is in addition to the normal monthly tipster competition prizes which you can still win during October and November based on the criteria for the Cricket Competition table.

As usual, prizes are doubled for Elite Tipsters and trebled for Super Elite Tipsters. You can check your current status for Cricket via your ‘Elite Status’ page –

LSP (Level Stakes Profit) -

One point will be placed on win tips, 1/2 a point Each Way (applicable markets) for Each Way tips at the odds taken. So it doesn’t matter if you select a stake of 50 or 500 virtual credits for these tips, if you place a win tip on a 5/1 winner you will then have a LSP of + 5 points. 1 Point is deducted for a losing tip so if you then had 3 losing tips, your level stakes profit will be down to + 2 points.

Members must finish with a positive LSP to potentially qualify for a prize.

TIPS & COMMENTS = 15 or more.

To qualify you must place at least 15 tips with comments that contain at least 20 words or longer with good quality reasoning justifying your tip.

Tips without comments are excluded, also poor comments without reasoning or any that contain less than the minimum criteria will mean the tip will be excluded from the competition.

For example,

“I am tipping England to beat South Africa because they are a really good team and should win, get on!" .. This is NOT an acceptable comment.

We just need a few good reasons as to why you are choosing the tip selection. Also NO copy and pasting of comments across multiple tips, you will need different and original comments for each tip!

For example tipping Top Batsman and Man of the Match, the reasoning must be original and specific to each market.

Also NO copying from other members or websites, as we will check and any found will be excluded and deleted.

The OLBG Tip Comment Guide with useful pointers can be viewed via the link below -

What we want here is for members to share their key insights about their tips and why they are a good bet. Then OLBG website and app users looking at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup tips can gain useful knowledge and guidance before placing their Cricket bets.

The tip comments will be analysed throughout the tipping competition and if OLBG deem them not to be of good enough quality they will be excluded and deleted from the competition so please strive for the highest quality, good spelling and punctuation, as this makes it easier for your followers to read on the OLBG App and website.

Profitable Tips = 10 or More

To potentially qualify for a prize you must have placed at least 10 profitable tips with comments, profit is indicated in your tips history by any return shown in green. Each Way tips which place and return a profit are included.

ICC Men's T20 World Cup Tipster Table

The Competition table standings will be available via the link below:

Results will require manual settlement and in some cases may not be completed until the following morning depending on match conclusion times.

Upon completion of checking comment and tip eligibility the final table will then be confirmed and published during the week commencing 15th November and prizes will be paid into OLBG account within 14 days.

Enjoy the T20 World Cup and good luck!

Hi, you may want to check your bet settlement for Top Series Bowler
Should be Wanindu Hasaranga de Silva, 16 wickets

Thanks, that would be us seeing 'PWH de Silva' as the winner and not realising that was actually 'Wanindu Hasaranga' but that is now corrected.

Just a bit of a pre-warning to all, the table is not finalised as of yet, we had the qualification for the 2022 tournament taking place at the same time so, at present, there are around 40 qualification matches included in the table which should not be as those are nothing to do with the 2021 tournament. We are working on a solution to get those tips removed from counting towards the table and once we do we will be able to finalise the table.
