China Open 2014

Postby TeddyT » Sun Mar 30, 2014 10:05 pm

The China Open starts later today and runs through to April 6th.

Neil Robertson is the reigning champion and is joined in the event by three time previous winner Mark Williams and dual winner Peter Ebdon.

Ronnie O’Sullivan has elected not to play in this event as has Stuart Bingham and Stephen Maguire.

The bookies can’t find a favourite for this event with Robertson, Ding Junhui and Mark Selby all available at 6/1.

Please use this page to let us know who you will be backing to win the China Open.

Mark Selby has the easiest quarter of the draw and should get to the semi final with not many top players in that part of the draw his recent form hasn't been good losing 4-0 to Dave Gilbert in the ptc grand finals but got to the final of the World open losing to Shaun Murphy 10-6.

The 3rd quarter of the draw looks tough with Ding Junhui, John Higgins , Marco Fu & Barry Hawkins who will be confident going into this after winning the ptc grand final.

Looks like Hawkins and Allen have skipped the trip to China as well.

Also Neil Robertson is reportedly struggling with a virus.

This event looks ripe for a shock winner.

I like the look of 10/3 about Li Hang to beat Marco Fu tomorrow morning.
