Agree Ronnies to lose the main danger John Higgins but he has been well beaten in their last two meeting 6-0 in the quarter final of the champion of champions and 6-2 in the semi final of the Shanghai masters both last month and is rightly favourite for the masters with Mark Selby, Judd Trump and Ding Junhui going out early in the UK championship.

Yes I think Higgins has to boss his games with patience, and Ronnie has his measure and simply doesnt allow it.

in 30 plus years of watching snooker,i have never ever seen such a shameful performance by a pro player that kyren Wilson showed tonight,i would like to see his performance investigated tbh, doubt he`s bent but there should be some explanation of how a pro player can`t make more than forty, despite his opponent giving him multiple chances,it reality it`s been an awful uk championship, the standard has been appalling

It's not just me then. I wrote in August on this thread about Kyren Wilson's tendency to go walkabout after his dismal performance in the Indian qualifiers. I thought I had put this 'knowledge' to good use by having a bet he wouldn't make a century against Ricky Walden. Even then he put a curse on me as when I went to check my winnings I found out I had put it on Walden instead! And for those who don't know Yes, Walden did make a century.

Very impressive from Ronnie O'Sullivan in the second session to win the final 10-5 going to be hard to beat in the masters.

Since 2007 we've had 32 renewals of the UK, Masters and Worlds and four players have won an amazing 26 of the 32 events. That breaks down as:

O'Sullivan 10 (3 Worlds, 5 Masters, 2 UK)
Selby 8 (3 Worlds, 3 Masters, 2 UK)
Robertson 4 (1 World, 1 Masters, 2 UK)
Higgins 4 (3 Worlds, 1 UK)
I keep being amazed by the above stats and yet I still always seem to back someone else! So now an incredible 27 of the last 33 majors won by those four players.

Got to say O'Sullivan from 5-5 was as good as I've seen him play for a long time.

Ronnie upped his game after that and took advantage when Shaun missed on that form he is hard to beat. Good stat that Darren could be O'Sullivan for the masters and Selby for the world championship.

Yep well done Ronnie, masterful in that session

So, Have Ronnie coming through there, and onto the next event. Would be nice to get a Robertson or Ding to go with him in the Masters, but if Ronnie wants to do the treble I wouldn't be unhappy now

Masters Selby 7/2 Ladbrokes - ROS 6/1 Marathon - Ding 10/1 bet365 - Robertson 14/1 10 Bet
Worlds Selby 3/1 Marathon - ROS 7/1 BetVictor - Ding 9/1 Betfred - Robertson 14/1 Skybet
