Player: Paul Casey

Tournament: Travelers Championship

Reasons For Support:

Paul could be in the 'frustrating to follow' bracket as he is getting himself into contention but seems to implode at some stage, that has been evident on a couple of occasions recently and notably last week at the US Open where he recovered from a second round triple bogey to share the lead going into the weekend only to triple again in the third round and effectively end his chance. I still believe though his game is generally in good shape and will be winning sooner rather than later, perhaps when the field is not as strong and this week's is pretty good to be fair but I am going to stick with him as his record at the Travelers is solid despite only two previous appearances. He's made the cut on both occasions and nearly won here in 2015 when going down to Bubba Watson in a play off.

Player Justin Thomas
Event travellers championship
Reason

This is not the strongest of fields with the exception of a few players but they seem to be out of sorts lately unlike Justin Thomas who looks to be hitting form with two top ten finishes in his last two events including a cracking 9th in the tough us open he was third in this event last year with a smashing 62 final round and if thereabouts after day three this week I would fancy his chances greatly.

Player: Sergio Garcia

Tournament: BMW International Open

Reasons For Support: Nobody has yet made a pitch for Sergio Garcia, winner of the US Masters, who is the 7/1 favourite for this tournament. Unlike some of the Big Beasts at the US Open last week, he did make the cut, and finished a respectable T21. This is his first event back in Europe since winning the Masters, his maiden major. He finished T5 in the BMW International Tournament last year, shooting a hole-in-one along the way. As his average number of shots per round now comes in at 69.31, he could do better than that this year.

Player: Chez Reevie

Tournament: travellers championship

Reason: I've been waiting for Chez to finally hit form and in the last two tournaments has proved to me that he has. A top 5 finish two weeks ago and then followed up with an impressive us open. He is young, he plays on the Thursday morning and paired up with Grayson Murray. I think this may be a good thing as I think both will shoot low on the first round. The top players are here because none of them are firing at all well so I'm bypassing them for the second week. Charley Hoffman is a player I like to watch.. Practices three hours a day, gets a sweat on after the third hole and battles. Sadly at 45-1 he is too short.
