Gabrial's Kaka strikes me as a Fahey/Koukash plot job for the Lincoln. Now 10lb below his last winning mark, he returned with a good third in the Irish Lincolnshire last week and could win a couple of big handicaps this year. Elite Army would be another, but I haven't put him in the list below as I...

I thought the Placepot at Cheltenham was poor today - expected favourites to come through in first two races so have gone for a Quadpot. I was wrong about the reasoning though! In case anyone is interested: 1.50 Cogry and Rigadin De Beauchene 2.25 Irish Cavalier and Buywise 3.00 The Job Is Right and...

Also joined all for a bit of fun - let's see if I can do better than last years "50 to follow" thread where my two National Hunt selections ran a grand total of once between them!

I'll fight you for them wooden spoons Geordie! :D

I had a last minute bet on Simple Verse, which I think will be paid out anyway. One thing I would say is that Bondi Beach twice goes into the filly (hemming her in behind Storm the Stars and then pushing her into Storm the Stars around 1f out), the filly seems to bump Bondi Beach harder, but I think...

Martinr is doing a great job and is possibly busy at the moment, but Lightning Moon runs today in the 3.10 at Doncaster. This will be the first time in the horses career that I haven't backed it, as the trainer comments suggest this is a prep run for the Foret at Longchamp on Arc weekend. Conditions...

Just to add to the 5.05 Hamilton confusion, I\'ve gone for Adhaf. Full reasoning is on the tips page. Cant copy it over because I\'m on my phone, but looks to already be ahead of the handicapper with further progression likely.

Good luck all!

Just seen the Humidor race. Thanks for the nice messages guys, unfortunately I didn't have the forecast, but extremely happy to get 8/1 for the single and cement some extra cash from the lovely OLBG competitions for August! :D

Good moment from Laddies today. Restricting bets on the Pricewise selection Profitable (50/1) to 10p. £2.50 ew would be more than enough for me to have some fun on the race and would not amount to a massive liability. I accept the "Why would they want your business?" argument, but 10p? Ban me comple...

Just the one leg letting you down for a triple figure payout, unlucky Cian :( I will be putting a placepot on tomorrow as I will be at York. However won't know the final selections til quite late and may not be able to put them on here so will give a few brief views here: 1.55 Y: Tough race, but hop...

One thing that I've found, and this is based on anecdotal memories rather than specific records, is that EW betting has the intangible psychological benefit of giving me my money back (or more) even if a horse is only placed. The number of days I've been saved big losses from having placed horses as...

The 4.55 Nursery at York tomorrow looks very interesting from a betting perspective. An old favourite of mine runs in QEYAADAH, he finished second to the Sir Mark Prescott trained Alinstante LTO. Time may show that he bumped into one there, but it's difficult to say he looks well handicapped here. O...
