Re: Supreme Novice Hurdle - Tuesday 12th March 2019 (Day 1)

The Moscow Flyer in Punchestown today, regarded as a Supreme trial, looked mediocre. Aside from the Mullins trio of a few years ago, most winners have come up short at Cheltenham and the form of today’s race looks well below the required standard. The time was about 20 seconds quicker than the maide...

Re: Ballymore Novice Hurdle - Wednesday 13th March 2019 (Day2)

He won well enough but I wasn’t impressed. He hasn’t beaten much and I think he’ll be done for pace at Cheltenham

Re: Ballymore Novice Hurdle - Wednesday 13th March 2019 (Day2)

Jarveys Plate at 20s. I reckon he’s shorter than 10s on the day should he line up. Impressive win last time out at Cheltenham ( he’ll be on the sharper Old Course for this race ) , absolutely flew the last and scampered up the hill. No fluke and, of those prominent in the market, only Champ has impr...

Re: Supreme Novice Hurdle - Tuesday 12th March 2019 (Day 1)

I thought it was a very nice performance, Ex, but I think he’s a 2 1/2 miler who won over shorter first time up because he was fresh and he was racing on a stiff track into a strong headwind in the home straight. Hendo has several bows he can aim at this and I think they don’t yet know for certain w...

Re: JLT - Thursday 14th March 2019 (Day 3)

Hopefully, Vinndication will make it to Cheltenham this season because the JLT looks like the ideal test and most horses priced shorter in the market won’t even run here.

Re: RSA Novice Chase - Wednesday 13th March 2019 (Day 2)

Santini should appreciate this test more than the Kempton race at Christmas, although the gap in the market between himself and Topofthegame is too big. Delta Work is a previous festival winner and looks even better for the switch to chasing Mortal should be in the JLT Vinndication will be JLT if he...

Re: Horse Racing Discussion Weekly Thread: Mon 18th June - Sun 24th June (Inc Royal Ascot)

The Irish Rover is value in the Coventry - best performance of his brief career under similar conditions last time, sire won here... a renewal which lacks the strength in depth of previous seasons. Washington DC was just a head behind Battash last time but is 16-1. Cleonte is now 7 pounds lower and ...

Re: Horse Racing Discussion Weekly Thread: Mon 18th June - Sun 24th June (Inc Royal Ascot)

Beginning to like the look of Romanised in the St James Palace. Quick ground and a stiff finish should be ideal. He's a more mature horse thise year and appears to be improving rapidly.

Re: 2018 Aintree Grand National

This is my summary list : Anibale Fly Has an inconsistent profile overall but tends to run well when granted a stiff track and testing conditions. Aintree isn’t a stiff track but he’ll love the ground...the fences might be another matter. Can sometimes get in too close and will be on his a*** here s...
