Another win for the wonderful La Bague Au Roi. However, if reports are to be believed, she’s now more likely to run in the Stayers.

Henderson has a few mares so it will be a top class renewal but if Apples Jade runs to form then she wins.

If both Footpad and Buveur D’Air win earlier on the card then she’s going to start a very short price indeed.

Re: Supreme Novices Hurdle - Tuesday 13th March 2018 (Day 1)

Sayar is likely to miss Cheltenham due to lack of fitness.

Re: Stayers Hurdle - Thursday 15th March 2018 (Day 3)

Good luck with that, RR. He was my Each Way pick for the Albert Bartlett last year. I think he’s progressed, although I think his best trip is over shorter than 3 miles. I was hoping for The Worlds End to step up this season but, so far, he’s been disappointing. I’m ...

Re: Truimph Hurdle - Friday 16th March 2018 (Day 4)

I’d prefer to see Sussex Ranger skip Cheltenham and run at Aintree. He’s a lovely horse who should jump a fence in time and he’ll be allowed time to find his rhythm at Aintree. I think the undulating Chepstow straight asked more of him than it did WHAD, though he coped admirably Redicean won well to...

Re: Horse Racing Discussion and Information Weekly Thread - Mon 8th Jan - Sun 14th Jan

I’m not particularly enamoured with either Mengli Khan or Getabird for the Supreme, although I’d expect it to be a close call today and with slight preference for the Elliott horse. Mullins likes to win this race but Getabird appears to be inferior to his recent winners...maybe today he shows us som...

Re: The national hunt problem in UK

I can remember Rishi Persad interviewing a trainer after a race at Aintree’s autumn meeting several years ago and his first question was “ Is he one for Cheltenham ? “. Talk about not savouring the moment. Then we have the immediate reaction to the wonderful veterans final at Sandown with the Racing...

Fox Norton or Top Notch, both with more to offer over this trip. Both like the course, both are versatile as regards the going.
Most of the other market principals won’t run, so last year’s runner up Sizing John looks big at 20s.

I’m already with Might Bite but I think both Disko and Coney Island are potential improvers granted good ground and an honest pace.
I’m against Sizing John and Bristol De Mai.

Looks to be an exceptional group of juveniles this season and I wouldn’t have risked We Have A Dream on that ground at Chepstow today.

Probably a few more to stake their claim between now and the Adonis.

Presenting Percy might run at the festival but I think his main target is the Irish National.
