Re: AFCON Tournament - Any Insight From Members?

From a value point of view both Egypt at around 3.9 and Equatorial Guinea at 6.5 can give the favourites Ivory Coast @2.31 and Mali 1.75 a run for their money in today's games. Of the 6 AFCON knockout games so far played 2 have gone to the outsiders and 4 to the favourites. All the games have been b...

Re: Expected Goals - XG

If there was a perfect trading scenario the above game worked out pretty well.

QPR the outsiders took the lead in the 6th minute, Coventry equalised in the 50th minute.

I laid them at 2.06 when they were leading and backed them at 5.1 when Coventry made it 1-1.

Re: Horse Racing Discussion for January

Today is a day to take special notice of jockeys and which horses they rode previously. There are 3 AW meetings but with the new rules jocks can only ride at one of them, therefore they will need to forgo possible winning mounts at one of the other tracks. You can imagine that the top jocks had some...

Re: Expected Goals - XG

The Coventry v QPR game looks close based on xG, Coventry are the favs but can be hit or miss and often start slowly. This looks like a decent game to trade with whoever takes the lead likely to concede next, I think we can expect a yo-yo kind of game that is perfect for trading. Lay the opening sco...

Re: Horse Racing Discussion for January

Yet another second for Ivilnoble, beaten a neck! - time to remove from the alerts, that looked its best chance.

Re: Horse Racing Discussion for January

Ivilnoble trained by Dominic French Davis has consistently been declared a N/R. Today the horse is scheduled to run in the 1.00 at Ludlow, it looks like it may line up today. I also have alerts from previous runs for : 5.30 Newcastle Ornate 4/1 5.30 Newcastle Outrage 10/1 7.00 Newcastle Tathmeen 8/1

Re: Expected Goals - XG

Millwall v Notts Forest is far and away the shortest-priced draw in the Championship.
These two teams look very well matched based on xG.
If Forest score first I may well lay them expecting Millwall to bounce back

Millwall 2.5
Draw 3.1
Forest 3.1

Re: Expected Goals - XG

COVID looks to be easing off with teams getting players back so hopefully the thread can start finding some good xG bets.

Does anyone have any xG thoughts on games this weekend?

Re: AFCON Tournament - Any Insight From Members?

With 10 AFCON games ending 1-0 we hope readers took the AFCON blog advice about low scoring/to nil games.

Looking back on the 2019 tournament, it's expected that many group games will continue to be won to nil, 1-0, 2-0, 3-0 etc.

Re: AFCON Tournament - Any Insight From Members?

The opening AFCON games resulted in 9 favourites winning. the biggest surprise was Nigeria beating Egypt 1-0, although they were priced as follows Nigeria 3.0 Egypt 2.7 Draw 2.8 The two drawn games were at odds of 2.8 and 6.5, the 6.5 odds came when Algeria could not beat Sierra Leone. I expect most...

Re: Use of claimers

I do the same crofty, always taking note when a claiming jock is booked, another angle is to look when a top jock previously rode the horse and today a claimer is on board, and also when a claimer had ridden the horse LTO and now it is a top jockey on board. My best bet today is Apple Rock - ridden ...

AFCON Tournament - Any Insight From Members?

There will be 52 games in the African Cup Of Nations which start on Sunday, all games are on SKY, I wondered whether the footy experts could find some bets and or add some input? Salah is fav to be top goalscorer but very short, Senegal are favs to win the tournament outright. I will be updating the...
