Quality Bookie

by cjfinno, Aberdeen, 07 June 2014

Quality site right up there with Bet365. Loads of matches and markets. Doesn't have asian handicaps though which is a bit annoying. Great odds and no problems with withdrawls. Highly recommended.

Why Join William Hill?
  • Sign up in under 90 seconds - easy to get started right now
  • Claim to consitently offer better odds on football than their main competition.
  • William Hill Free Bets for everyone with loads of buy one get one free offers. This is where you place a bet on one market and they give you a free bet on another.
William Hill Sports & Markets
  • Great range of markets with the most popular sports - particularly football, tennis and racing.
  • Depth is lacking a bit away from those main UK popular sports and events but a good general coverage.
  • Great iOS app and mobile site for betting on the go
William Hill Service
  • We have had some negative feedback from members about the customer service and customer service staff at William Hill, but as one of the most popular and sometimes most hated of UK bookies (by those who lose especially!), perhaps this is to be expected.
William Hill Extras
  • Great football stats service supported by opta sports data.
  • Live streaming of UK and Irish racing as well as SerieA and Uefa Europa league fixtures. Coverage is improving, as is the spread of in play markets available. And bet £1 or more on any UK or Irish horse race and you qualify to watch the action live on site.
  • They have Best Odds Guaranteed on Greyhounds - if you take their Early Price or a Board Price then they'll pay out on the SP if it's bigger.

    Good And Bad

I only use William hill for horse racing. Pros - 1. Easy to get started 2. Offer decent prices on horse racing and have many markets with the insure market one of my favourites 3. Never had any problems withdrawing money 4. Can live stream the race for free if you bet at least 1 pound 5. Get a free bet on big events, i don't use them though 6. Customer service is not as bad as some people say Cons - 1. They quite often offer the lowest price on winning horses 2. Most of my bets get transferred to the trader who offers to let me put so much of my original bet on 3. The cash out bet option is pointless as they don't offer much 4. Sometimes slow at getting the prices up for the next day 5. The insure market should be open the day before like the main market 6. They will offer the best price out of all the bookies on horses that don't usually win 3.8 out of 5 stars

Easy to navigate and use. No quick bet tracker unlike other bookies though

You can judge a company by their customer service and William Hills is very poor.Pretty much a like it or lump it attitude but maybe that is for the smaller gambler? It is a shame because they have decent markets and specials but just don't have a problem!!!

I've had an account with Hills for around 5 years now. They have a good customer service but it can sometimes take a while to get through to them as you can guess there is a lot of people trying to contact them. I think Hills are one of the bookmakers that would come to mind if you were to name the top three biggest bookmakers. The pros about this company are decent odds, good customer service and an easy to navigate website. I do think there is better bookmakers to bet with though and that is just my opinion Bet365, Ladbrokes to name a few

Very bad customer service. Very difficult to get the payouts and in many cases they promote a bonus that does not really exist

I have looooooooong been a Hills customer even worked for them in-store at one point not anymore, however as a customer they are not nearly as good as other bookies in a number of ways. I have been betting with them for a number of years, one day tried to place a £500 treble, trader limited my stake to £27.18 which was ridiculous to this day it still puzzles me. They dont reward loyal customers like other sites do and they certainly do not offer the best prices on the market, they will on offer best prices on say Boreham Utd beating barcelona 5-1 but thats only because its impossible. They do have a nicely laid out site and ok payout times except for weekends when they dont process till sunday!

Never had a problem with William Hill, they are usually very good prices on the football and offer best odds gaurenteed on horse racing, lots of offers from them too. They regularly have no loss offers on various slots games, so it's always useful to keep a spare £10 in their to take full advantage of some free money. For depositing purposes, I just wish they would lower their minimum deposit to £5 not £10.
