Now that the World Championships are over for another year and Gary Anderson wins again for the 2nd year on the spin, thoughts head towards the Premier League Of Darts
The PDC have already announced which 10 players will take part in the event this year, 8 of the 10 players who took part last year, take part again this year, only Stephen Bunting & Kim Huybrechts miss out, and are replaced by Michael Smith, who makes his debut in the event & Robert Thornton

Gary Anderson

Gary is playing in his 6th Premier League this year, he won the event in 2011 & 2015 and is best priced 7/2 to win the event for a 3rd time

Adrian Lewis

Adrian is making his 9th appearance in the Premier League, his best result was when he was runner up in 2011, he can be backed at 12/1 to win for the first time

Phil Taylor

Phil is playing in the Premier League for the 12th time, he has won the event 6 times, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010 & 2012, he is best priced 13/2 to win this year

Peter Wright

Peter is making his 3rd appearance in the Premier League, he finished 5th in 2014, and can be backed at 20/1 to win this year

James Wade

James is playing in his 8th Premier League, he won it back in 2009 and is best priced 25/1 for a repeat this year

Robert Thornton

This is the 3rd time Robert has played in the Premier League, he finished 5th in 2013 and is priced at 66/1 to win this year

Michael Smith

Michael is making his debut in the event, but does come here fresh from a quarter final place in the World Championships, he can be backed at 25/1 to win here on his debut

Raymond Van Barneveld

Raymond is making his 11th appearance in the Premier League, he won the event in 2014 and is 33/1 to win it again this year

Dave Chisnall

Dave is making his 3rd appearance in the Premier League, he reached the semi finals last year and is priced at 22/1 to win this year


Gary Anderson finished 3rd overall in the table after the weekly events but managed to beat Chisnall & Van Gerwen to lift the trophy
After successfully retaining the World Championships trophy, he is good value at 7/2 to lift the Premier League trophy for the 3rd time
