Matej Dodig vs Francesco Passaro Tips

Francesco Passaro is expected to prevail due to his more complete baseline game and smoother footwork. Dodig, still emerging on the pro tour, doesn’t quite have the tactical depth or power to challenge consistently at this level. Passaro’s backhand variation and heavier groundstrokes will be the key.

Matej Dodig is the new hope of Croatian tennis. He has recently won a Challenger tournament in Trieste, and as a clay court specialist with home support, he has a chance to upset Francesco Passaro.

Would have aimed for +4.5. Although he's been playing well and during that managed to win the Challenger in Trieste recently, having to go through qualifications and playing 7 rounds to finish as a winner against Tirante, beating Nagal along the way. Matej did lose to Choinski recently, which was sort of expected. On the other hand, Passaro has just had a good tournament in Gstaad, finally losing to Kym in the 1/8 of the tournament.
