East Eagle did not seem suited by the Hexham track on his last two starts but still ran his race. The CD winner is more suited to a flat track like he has today, as he showed at Stratford in April, winning easily. The handicap mark is only 5 lb higher for that 9-length win, and the usual rider returns with his 3 lb claim, making the consistent 6??'yo on a very fair mark. Returned here today, he looks very capable of running a big race, and 12/1 EW with a 4-place payout offers good value.
