That effort suggests her current mark may underestimate her ability. She also opened her account in good style at Wolverhampton Racecourse, winning a novice fillies' contest over 1m4f by 1 length and shaping as though further improvement was likely to come with experience. The return to fillies-only company looks a positive, and she benefits from a weight-for-age allowance which leaves her carrying less weight than some of her rivals. A 1 lb drop to a mark of 77 also helps her cause. The step back up to 1m2f should suit, and while testing ground would be an unknown, her pedigree suggests softer conditions should not pose a problem. If putting the Newmarket run behind her, Royal Poetry looks to have a solid chance in this company.
