Has winning form at Newmarket in June when a short priced favourite to win and won easily in a class 5 handicap. Trainer Charlie Johnston then ran him in a grade 3 contest at Newmarket and he never got involved. Down in grade again and should run better today.

The 3yo has 1 win from 5. He was a good 3rd of 14 in a useful contest last time out, looking like he was going to win inside the final furlong. He was drawn the widest that day, which at the Chester track can be a run that’s marked up as much better than the bare stats. The winner that day has since run a big race off a 9lb higher mark. Same mark for the selection in this handicap, still unexposed, will be fresh after a five week break and he has a good jockey booking.
