Rated around 66 now, he still looks well treated, particularly returning to Redcar where he’s at his best.

Today's conditions due to rain should suit Shaladar, who has a good chance in this apprentice race. Out of a strong yard featuring recent winners.

Mile By Mile is in stall 4 and continues to hold her form well, finishing just over 2 lengths behind in a 6f handicap at Carlisle 15 days ago. She also placed over 7f at the same track the time before, and that run showed me improvement there. She has run 6 times, placing twice, giving her a 33% place rate. She has also placed at this distance and on similar ground, and though yet to win in handicaps, she has shown she can be competitive off this mark of 52. William Pyle takes off 5lb, and Keith Scott's yard is in decent form. With a fair draw in 4 and a good overall pace, she looks like a win shout here.

Crimson Road is a bit of a long shot as he has been down the pack for all runs since changing yard, with his last win being in August last year off an 80 in C4. But I am willing to give him another chance as he is now on a 68 in C5 and is second up after wind surgery, which is when I would expect to see more. EW.
