Tedwin Hills returned from his summer break in excellent form, winning at Stratford last month and following up off a 10 lbs higher mark at Warwick 10 days ago. He has a 7 lb penalty but looks to have a good chance of bringing up the hat trick.

The longer trip and jumping should be fine for this ex PTP winner. And he might prove to be much better than his opening handicap mark of 107.

Two wins and a second in three prior runs at this track, representing a yard that has an exceptional record here with their chasers. He should still have some progression in him after just seven starts in chases, for all that his yard could do with being in better form.

Makes his seasonal reappearance. Back down to a mark of 112. Just 4 lbs above the mark he opened his chase account off last term. He's had a recent run out over hurdles, pulling up at Uttoxeter carrying 12 st. He clearly had no chance of winning on those terms. Just a case of getting some fitness into his legs. As mentioned above, he opened his chase account over this distance last term, absolutely bolting up. Beating Lime Drop 15L, with Knockanore a further 5L away in 3rd place. The latter went on to win the Eider by 16L 2 runs later, franking the form of this lad's win. He's had 1 run at this course, finishing 2nd over this trip behind Handstands in a novice hurdle. Beaten 7L by the winner. No disgrace there given the winner went on to win the Scilly Isles Novices last term. If the first-time blinkers work the oracle here, a mark of 112 is surely underestimating his ability.

Decent run here a couple of weeks ago when winning in a field of five by a neck. Had previously raced at Sedgefield over the 3.5-mile distance and pulled up there, so may not have been at its best last time out. Has won on soft before, and a 3lb rise might be manageable if improving again.
