BEAMING LIGHT has really clicked under new connections and is taken to continue the winning run as he still seems to have plenty on the handicapper at the moment. Definitely the one to beat.

Only two have recent winning form. The short-priced favorite is Beaming Light, who had a long run of poor form before a stable move. Since then, it has come second and won last time. That's improvement, but it's a bit short for one who has yet to show it on turf (0 from 5). Anticipating was also on a poor run before winning last time. The trainer explained it was a drop in distance (a mile from 1m 3f) that did it. It was also this CD. On balance, he looks much better value, and at the price, looks more sure to make the frame than the favorite does to win. Any more rain is a boost.

Worth a small each-way nibble. Off since October but showed up well last time out. Placed on turf off a 4lb higher mark last year and worth chancing in this lowly grade.

A 4 time winner at this course, the 8-year-old has had 12 outings since his last victory in 2024. Just 2 weeks ago, he finished a commendable 2nd out of 7 in a classified race at Brighton. He will be ridden by Ashley Lewis, who is currently in excellent form with a 17% win rate and also offers a 7lb claim. With enticing odds of 20/1 for an each-way bet, this is a great opportunity.

Successful at 1m1f and 7f on good to firm ground and on the all-weather. Last run was 5 lengths fourth over course and distance earlier this month. Won by one and a half lengths time before at Wolverhampton. Needs to bounce back. Solid each way NB.

Backing Letter of the Law, the 6-year-old Lawman gelding trained by John O’Shea, in tomorrow’s Best Betting Sites Handicap (1 m 14 y) at Chepstow. This veteran has recently shown revival signs, finishing a solid second over this course and distance back on May 13??'beaten just narrowly off a 25/1 price. He arrives here off that effort fit and ready, carrying a modest mark (OR 47), which suggests he’s dangerously well handicapped. With three consistent placed efforts in recent starts and a proven liking for Chepstow, he should settle mid-division before unleashing a strong run in the closing stages. Trainer O’Shea’s patience is paying dividends as Letter of the Law appears to be hitting peak fitness, and the drop in grade offers him a genuine chance to outrun his odds.

SAN FRANCISCO BAY has a reappearnce sighter behind him and is no doubt well treated racing now in basement handicap grade. Practically any horse could win a race of this nature and ace trainer Henry Candy would not have too many in his yard rated this low. Well worth a market check.
