Two runs since being gelded and Ephron won well in April at Redcar in a nine-runner handicap. Dropping down in trip after stepping up two furlongs, I do think the favourite will be better suited tonight at Carlisle for a second win.

Has shown good form in handicaps, including a staying-on third place at Leicester, so this longer trip should suit nicely, as should the ground conditions.

Mark looks fair for Clocker based on back form and by time. I think he will appreciate this increase in distance and the softer conditions. Expect a good run.

Espanita is a filly who’s been a bit below form recently, but she’s still capable of running well. She was beaten 7 lengths LTO, and with Johnston in charge, I reckon she’s well placed for a bounce-back run. Rowan Scott is a solid jockey, and she’s still only 3 years old, so there’s room for improvement. She can be a fair each-way chance today and could run into the places if reproducing her better efforts, so fingers crossed here.

Has been backed in most runs recently without really showing any form. Beginning to look well treated and is worth an each-way punt.
