Tactical Plan is a 4yo trained by Ed Dunlop. He is not very consistent but is starting to look well handicapped off 70, having won off 76??'73 at Goodwood and Chester. These tracks are similar to Brighton in their unusual course conditions, which are conducive to producing course specialists. He's dropped into this grade for the first time and runs over a mile, a trip in which he is unexposed but has posted a career-best RPR of 77 over a mile. The switch to Brighton may revitalize this quirky character, having taken a liking to Chester and Goodwood. He has run just once here, finishing runner-up as a juvenile. Tactical Plan could put this lot to the sword on a good going day and is value at 20-1.
