Nicky Richards' 7yo Milan gelding was pulled up when last seen in April in a handicap chase at Perth but had been both consistent prior to that and certainly looked like he needed a trip. His yard is in form, and he's run well each time over this course. He has a very decent chance here.

De Legislator has won 3 of his 5 starts under rules, with the last coming in a Novices' Handicap Chase at Wetherby in February. The runner-up there has won 5 times since, so the form looks solid. He returns here off 4 lbs higher, but with progress likely, he can follow up.

Quite progressive last season, scoring with something in hand on his penultimate outing at Sedgefield. The 20f distance was just far too short at Carlisle after that and I still believe there is mileage in his handicap mark. It's a long way for the Ian Williams team to send one runner, no doubt in search for boggy ground, which the six-year-old should get from looking at the forecast. Price just seems far too big to me.

Has dropped a long way in the handicap and had an awful season last term. But has his ground tomorrow and should once again get an uncontested lead up front. Comes with risks attached, but that's offset by his likely odds. And fresh may just be the time to catch him. Anythihg around 33/1 mark Ill be involved
