2:40 Dundalk Tips

Prairie Girl is lightly raced but didn't taste victory until joining this new yard recently and has been switched to synthetics. She was a promising 4th of 13, running on, then made no mistake here last time over 5f, winning by an easy 3 lengths. The mark has risen sharply due to that, but as it's still early in her career, it looks a beatable penalty.

A better effort from the 5yo last week at this track, beaten by just a head in a 13 runner contest. Only a claiming race but he was beaten by a runner rated much higher than these handicap rivals. He ran plenty of nice races at this track last winter and he was racing off a 16lb higher mark at one point. Top jockey Colin Keane is booked for the ride which is positive.

This 7-year-old has won multiple times with 9 victories at Dundalk and 6 at this specific distance. He recently finished 8th in a 7f handicap after a break, and now returning to his favoured trip with the visor back on. I expect a boost in his performance at this familiar track and I recommend an each-way bet at appealing odds of 15/2.

Snowballs posted his best effort on the second start, which came on good ground. Two subsequent runs on softer going weren't as good. Makes first start on the AW, and the switch of surface could see an improved performance.
