Shelbiana is a 3-year-old filly trained by J P Murtagh. She has shown some fair form in three outings at two and could feature if improving from a Leopardstown run. She seems to be gradually improving on RPR 63-66-70-75. She is a second foal related to Sheyya, who won on debut (86), and out of a dam called Shelannga that won on her fourth start (80). Shelanga is a half-sister to three individual winners: Shelaka (82), who was forward enough to win on debut; Shekhem (107); and Shelir (115), who again won his first two races. All are owned and bred by the Aga Khan. Shelbiana has a lovely pedigree and plenty of racecourse experience, which she can put to good use today. Despite this being a 21-runner maiden there will be a lot of chaff, Shelbiana is my short-priced banker of the day for a trainer who has been very much the in-form trainer in Ireland.

Shadow Of The Moon has been strong in the market here for a newcomer, and that is noted as this yard tends to aim their better ones at meetings at this venue. She must be showing plenty at home and can transfer that to the track here.

Closely related to stablemate Saturn, so will need further than this in time. Ran poorly when last seen 9 months ago, but went off a hot favorite that day, so had obviously been showing something at home. Worth a punt here.

With a lot of the lineup being debutants, Mimaun View would be one of those with the experience and a bit of form going into this race.

Therewillbeglory is a 3-year-old filly trained by Andrew Slattery. She makes her debut and is out of an unraced dam who was a half-sister to the smart 2-year-old Silca Chiave, who finished 3-1 in her first two starts, then got beaten by a short head in the Moyglare Stud Stakes at the Curragh, a Group 1 race. She opened on an official rating of 101. She was again unlucky on her fourth start when she finished 1.5 lengths third in the Cheveley Park at Newmarket behind the smart Indian Ink who later won the Group 1 Coronation Stakes at Ascot by an emphatic 6l margin. If there is a horse without racecourse experience in this field, Therewillbeglory could challenge market leaders if she possesses an ounce of the ability shown by her granddam.

The second career race was 9th of 17 in the first race. There is room for improvement to at least finish in a place here, and the price looks good.
