Rosato's best form is on soft or worse ground, and she looks interesting here after her 3rd placed finish over 6 furlongs here at Curragh last month. Her previous wins had been on yielding ground at Navan in October 24 and at Naas in July off 60. She has only run over 7 furlongs twice, with her 5th of 18 at Fairyhouse in September beaten less than a length, suggesting she is worth another chance. She is off the same mark as when 3rd here 12 days ago, and at these odds, looks a good each-way bet with 5 places on offer.

Much improved form for new stable last time at this course over 6 furlongs. Acts on this ground and as long as the extra furlong is no problem, has a good chance.

My best Each Way selection is MERCURIAL, a 6-year-old gelding (9-7, OR 73) who is a proven heavy ground specialist with 1 win and 2 places from 10 heavy starts. He confirmed current fitness with a 2nd of 17 at the Curragh on heavy just 12 days ago, posting an RPR of 73 that matches his mark. While winless at 7f, he has 6 places from 14 starts at the trip and is drawn favourably in 3. His experience and consistency in testing conditions make him an outstanding Each Way prospect to finish in the frame.

Goal Exceeded is a 4-year-old gelding trained by Adrian McGuinness. He has 2 wins out of 19 and runs today off a career-low handicap mark of 68. He is a CD winner from October 24, winning by a comfortable 2 lengths under today's jockey, Adam Caffrey. That win came on good ground, but he has also won on soft at Naas as a juvenile, again in October. His Curragh win was a career-high RPR of 85, and he has a number of good runs here, including a half-decent run on his last start off a 2lb higher mark: 'Held up in midfield, steady headway over 3f out, no extra inside final 110yds.' A return to the Curragh again today could see him in a better light off 68, and despite the competitive nature of today's contest, he can figure come race end.

Narrowly third over C&D last month, unlucky with a late switch, showing he has the ability to challenge. Drops slightly in trip to 7f, which could suit him better on testing/heavy ground. If he handles the conditions well, he has the pace and stamina to reverse recent form and take the race.

Ran well for a long way over Galway's extended mile on Monday. Turned round quickly for this and could go well dropping in trip.

Speedy filly who's been holding her own in competitive fields. The return to the Curragh suits, and she's drawn to attack from a prominent position. If she gets a clean break, her turn of foot can prove decisive. Very good each-way value at the current 22/1 odds.

It would not be surprising if Verhoyen finds the extra to turn the form around with a few of these, with Ben Coen keeping the ride. He has a high draw that may be aiding his chances with cover. Plus, the handicapper has eased him down a couple of pounds to 66, and the ten-year-old might be showing his legs are young enough to carry him forward for success.

This one is a 5-time winner with 1 over C/D. His current form is not the best, but he has suddenly recovered after similar in the past. He runs off 5lb lower than his last win and at 14/1 could be a good E/W bet.

There was a bias that day for higher drawn horses, and a chance is taken that Mowgli will outrun his odds from stall 2, considering that he will appreciate the heavier ground conditions. Of the higher drawn horses, Verhoyen could also figure here.
