New Zealand is expected to show a whole lot more today than on debut. A very nice-looking sort who should come on a lot and it will not be a shock if it bounces out and is on the front end throughout. I think this will impress today.

Seoul Force by Wootton Bassett, trained by Mrs. Harrington, might be the kickstart her juveniles need. Shaped well when third to Daytona and should be sharper here for that run.

Isaac Newton is a 2-year-old colt trained by A P O'Brien. He is a Camelot colt, 380,000 euros yearling. Dam is a 7f 2-year-old winner (her dam won on debut). Moore prefers the stablemate, but I think he may be wrong. Isaac Newton is one of 12 foals, 10 of which won (including dam), and five won on their racecourse debut. Four won on their second start, so they are very forward in their condition. Five posted a career RPR varying between 104-125, and Isaac Newton will surely have a part to play in proceedings with Jack Clearly taking off a helpful 5lb claim. Current owners D Smith, Mrs J Magnier, M Tabor, and Westerberg have had 22 juvenile winners and have amassed 30 big race wins in recent years with horses of all ages.

Shaihaan bids to make a bold statement in this maiden at the Curragh. Trained by Donnacha O'Brien for Al Shaqab Racing and ridden by Gavin Ryan, this Night of Thunder colt fetched £180,000 as a yearling and boasts a solid pedigree. His dam was a middle-distance winner and is closely related to high-calibre stayers. With form yet not on record, his buying price and breeding profile mark him as one to watch.

A Persian King colt. A half-brother to Abbey Gardens, who won at 1m. This is one of 3 newcomers from the stable. While I'm disappointed that Mcmonagle has decided to ride the pricier choice, Go Just Do It, I'm going for the value horse at 66/1, which could yield a significant each-way profit.

Captain Con is a 2yo colt trained by Noel Mead. He makes his 2yo debut and is out of an unraced dam whose dam, Beautifix, went 1-1-2-1, picking up a Listed race as a 2yo at Deauville. Beautifix also foaled four useful pattern company winners with So Fast 1-4-1-2 as a 2yo, winning a Group 3 at Longchamp; Spaday 2-1-4 as a 2yo and later won a Listed race; and Eyeful, who didn't run as a 2yo but did pick up a Listed race at 3. All posted RPR in excess of 100. Captain Con will benefit from the run in all probability but is value at 66-1, coming from a pedigree line that comes to hand early in their racing careers. Chris Hayes rides and he's ridden more 2yo again the Curragh than any other track and is riding with confidence 8/29 wins including a 33-1 debutante Time Bender.

First race for many here, whilst Aiden O'Brien has two strong runners, although neither have won. This horse cost 145,000 euros and represents each-way terms.
