How to get the best tips for Beverley Racecourse

You can see that Yorkshire-based trainers have the most winners, this is helpful and confusing because naturally, they have a lot of runners close to their stables. The hardcore of Yorkshire-based jockeys tends to have winners at the track.

Look to horses with stamina, the slightly uphill finish can catch front runners out.

The annual Go Racing in Yorkshire Summer Festival is held at the end of July and celebrates all that’s best about racing in White Rose County, look to smaller trainers from the county (James Bethell, Declan Carroll, Les Eyre, Ben Haslam, Tom Tate etc) plotting a big priced winner during those 10 days.

If a horse is drawn poorly at another Yorkshire track such as Catterick then next time out runs at Beverley and is berthed more favourable keep an eye on it.

In the more valuable non-handicap races look at Newmarket trainers (Haggas, Stoute especially) plundering the big Yorkshire prizes with improving types bordering on Group 3 class.

Some bookmakers sponsor Yorkshire race meetings and are based in the county (William Hill, Sky Bet) and look for those horses in races at Beverley that they want to keep on the right side of if they are a stand-out low price take note.

Beverley Tips - Course & Draw Bias

Backing stall 7 at Beverley over a trip of 7½f is the most profitable stall and trip combination at Beverley returning an LSP of +84.66 over the last five years. For the least profitable stall at Beverley, you need to look at races over 5f and focus on stall 7 as this has produced an LSP of -111.13 over the last five years.

Here we have the draw bias for Beverley taken into consideration races with ten or more runners, we will break down the figures by race distance, draws can be much more important over the shorter trips in which runners do not have time to find their position during the race meaning the draw is probably more important than the races over longer distances.

  • Sprints (5f to 7½f)
  • Mile (1m to 1m1½f)
  • Middle Distance (1m2f to 1m5½f)

The following table shows a breakdown over a group of trips and shows how each position of the draw does, for example in a twelve-runner race would be Low (Stalls 1-4), Mid (Stalls 5-8) and High (Stalls 9-12), the positions will always be lowest stall number to highest.
