Belmont Park Racetrack Guide

The Belmont Park racecourse is considered one of the 'Elite' when it comes to racing in North America.

Highlighted by the over 120k spectators that watched Smarty Jones defeat Triple Crown prospect Birdstone back in 2004.

Known as 'The Championship Track', Belmont Park has hosted almost all major champions in racing. This includes all of the Triple Crown winners.

The dirt track is larger than most US tracks, this is one mile and four-furlong oval. Known as 'The Big Sandy' because of the size and the stamina-testing surface.

The inner turf track is one mile, two-and-a-half furlong oval. There is also a dirt training track at the racecourse.

Racing takes place during two periods of the year. The 'Spring Meet' takes place from April through July. Then the 'Fall Meet' takes place from September through October.

Whilst there is no racing at Belmont Park, be sure to head over to the main horse racing tips page for predictions from other racecourses with races today.

Best Belmont Park Racing Tips

If looking for Belmont Stakes picks and wondering whether our racing tipsters are supporting the runner going for the Triple Crown or any other race at Belmont Park, the tips can be found here.

Along with each race for today's racing at Belmont Park will be the most tipped runner. The most tipped comes from our expert racing tipsters who have placed picks on the races.

Furthermore, each most-tipped runner comes with statistics on the pick. Like, how many tipsters have picked this runner, also, how many have tipped on the race in total.

This gives a 'Confidence Rating' which is the percentage of tips on the race which are for the most tipped runners.

The five-star 'Value Rating' looks at the confidence rating and the odds to give as it says, a 'Value Rating'.

Clicking on 'All Tips' will display the event page. On the event page, there are two tipster factors at the top.

First of all, the most tipped runners in the race and also, the best tipsters tip for the race.

Furthermore, we list all of the runners in the race. Along with each runner, you can see the number of tips.

There are three sections, Win Picks, Eachway (EW) Picks and NAP Picks. The NAP picks are the tipster's best tip of the day.

Our racing tipsters regularly leave comments on the races, these will be the reasoning for their picks. This gives an insight into the tipster's thinking and selection process to help further.

Belmont Park Notable Races

The Belmont Stakes, the most important race held here is the final leg of the 'Triple Crown'. The first leg, the Kentucky Derby, followed by the Preakness Stakes before coming to the Belmont Stakes.

Since Affirmed completed the Triple Crown in 1978, only two runners have since been capable of repeating that feat. American Pharoah in 2015 and Justify in 2018.

When the incredible Secretariat won the Belmont Stakes back in 1973, his time of 2 minutes and 24 seconds set a world record for a race over one mile and four furlongs on dirt. A record that still stands to this very day.
