"Has been far more consistent of late having only missed the cut in the Ballantines Championship so far this season. Was T8th in China and has a decent pedigree at Wentworth winning the title back in 2009. Missed the cut last year but was plagued by injury problems at the time so that can be safely ignored. "

"Could not have his game in better shape. Posted back to back wins in China & the Ballantines. Got outclassed by Branden Grace in the Match Play, but that format wouldn't be his strong suit. Went off the boil this time last year after a strong Asian leg of the tour, but such is his confidence he could continue the upward curve shown of late. "

"Has started to show glimpses of a return to form after his lengthy time off through injury. A relatively poor weekend in Madeira (73-74) meant he ended up T24th having looked well set on Saturday. His gradual improvement highlighted by his -2 at the China Open the previous week. A top class performer on his day and he could sneak into the places to signal his comeback. "

"Yet to really fire this season, but seemed to find his range in the Match Play last weekend finishing 3rd. Was 5th in this last year and won 4 times on the Tour in total. Started the season strongly this year and had a creditable T18th in the Masters. Certainly capable of winning this having already shown his liking for Wentworth on his first attempt. "

"Started the season by winning the Qatar Masters, but seemed to lose focus after that. A short break after retiring in the Malaysian Open did him the world of good and he bounced straight back with a decent showing in the Match Play last week. Was 6th in this 3 years ago and only a 3rd round 80 blew his chances of a decent finish last year - finishing 49th in the end. "
"The runner-up from two years ago has found himself in the easier side of the draw and should comfortably account for Dominic Dale in the 1st round - thereby gaining revenge for last year's defeat in the 2nd round. He then plays Stevens or Fu with a likely meeting with Ronnie or Higgins in the quarters. Ronnie has obviously been absent and Higgins arrives on the back of two consecutive 1st round losses. Trump may finally come of age this week. "
