"Ryan Moore missed the cut at the U S Open last week but could do better at this easier venue. He has not played that well so far this season apart from a couple of top 10 finishes but I consider him to be a player who is at his best on par 70 courses such as the one this week and his course form is good with a jt 4th in 2009, jt 13th in 2010 and a jt 2nd in 2011 so he looks worth an interest this week. "

"Jonas Blixt finished last season well with a 3rd in the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open and a victory in the Frys.com Open and both of those events were played on easy courses so Jonas could like the one this week. He has generally been out of form on the PGA tour this season but his jt 11th finish in his latest event ( The Colonial ) was his best effort so far in 2013 and he was ranked 5th in the strokes gained putting stats there so he could be returning to his best. "

"Chris Kirk is often worth considering on easy courses like the one this week at the Travelers as he seems to enjoy playing on them and his best effort so far in 2013 was at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am in February where he scored - 17 to finish runner up. Chris is a good putter ( ranked 11th in strokes-gained putting stats this year ) and the emphasis will be on putting this week. "

"Charlie Wi may surprise at decent odds. He has yet to win on the PGA tour but this event has a history of producing first time winners ( five of the past seven winners were first time winners ). He has finished runner up on five occasions on the PGA tour with the latest being in February 2012 so he can play good golf. He has yet to hit form in 2013 but most of his best efforts have been on par 70 courses and he can putt well. "

"The experienced Spaniard Sergio Garcia has sometimes been described as the best golfer to have never won a Major but that could change next year as I think he will have a successful season and could win his first Major. Sergio has lots of natural talent and has won eight PGA tournaments. He decided to have laser eye surgery about 2 months ago and it seems to have helped him as he equaled the course record when competing in the Dubai World Championship in November and then went on to come first in the Johor Open in Malaysia. His putting has become better in the last year and I think that his enthusiasm for golf could be rekindled in 2013 and he could become more consistent and have his best season for a while. "

"American Nick Watney has played on the PGA tour for 7 years so has quite a lot of experience of it. He won twice on this tour in 2011 and won once in 2012 so he has shown improvement in the last two years. He was also successful in Malaysia in October when winning the CIMB Classic so he has experienced a good finish to the season which will have boosted his confidence for next year. Nick is ambitious and wants to contend more seriously in the Majors and I think that he could enjoy a successful golf season in 2013. "

"South Korean Na Yeon Choi is a very consistent golfer who has done well in recent money lists on the LPGA tour. She won it in 2010, finished 3rd in 2011 and came runner up in 2012 so I think she is worth an each way interest in 2013 with that type of consistency. She prefers longer courses but is capable of playing good golf on any type of course and in any country. She won her first Major in 2012 when successful at the U S Open and also won the CME Group Titleholders. She is a player who thrives on confidence and I think that she has a good chance of winning the 2013 money list. "

"So Yeon Ryu is only 22 years old and has already won a Major which was the U S Open in 2011. Last year she won the LPGA rookie of the year award as she played consistently with seventeen top 10 finishes which included two victories.
She has performed very well so far on the LPGA tour for a young player with only a couple of year's experience of it and looks likely to improve further in 2013 and I think that she has a good chance of winning the LPGA Tour money list in 2013 which Asian players have done very well in during recent years.
