BMW Charity Pro Am Ben Martin 25 EW @ 36 Lose (50)

"Is a local from about 50 miles away in South Carolina, not that it helped with his debut last year when he missed the cut by 7 shots. Is in good form though with 8th last time out & 11th in the two events before that. So at 35-1 for someone in form and a relative local seems good value, especially as in some places he's 20-1. "

Byron Nelson Championship Ryan Palmer 25 EW @ 26 Lose (50)

"Until 2011 had a poor record here missing 6 of 7 cuts, but then lost a playoff to Bradley in 2011, and was 9th last year. Showed some form last week with a tie for 5th at the Players. Has the added advantage of living locally so will have some support and possible local knowledge. "

Madeira Islands Open Alvaro Velasco 25 EW @ 51 Lose (50)

"He was 5th here in 2008 & 28th last year, so a couple of good results. Won the 2010 Challenge Tour and in doing so won on a similar course in the Canary's. Having a solid season as well 37th last time out with 15th before that, and a 5th in Morocco. "

Mobile Bay LPGA Classic Lexi Thompson 25 EW @ 29 Lose (50)

"Led going into the final round in 2011 before hitting a poor 78 to finish 19th, bounced back well last year to finish 2nd after a 66, 65 weekend. Leads the field with an average of 69.88, the only player under 70. Current form is a little bit of a worry with just one top 10 this season 39th last time out, 19th & 48th before that. However with plenty of the big names not here there is a chance of improvement this week. "

PGA Championship Nissin Cupnoodle Cup Tomohiro Kondo 25 EW @ 29 Lose (50)

"No course form to go on so looking for someone in good form & he comes in after two 7th placed finishes & a 14th in his last 3 events. Led after the first round in the last event as well. Is also a past winner at the event in 2006. Given his form then he seems better value than those ahead of him in similar form. "

SK Telecom Open Tae Hee Lee 25 EW @ 23 Lose (50)

"Lee arrives in good form having been 7th in his last two outings, 27th & 18th before that. Has played the course four times and missed the cut in 09, 28th, 40th & 11th last year shows he knows his way around the course. 33-1 with Skybet seems good value, and even a place will be as good as a KJ Choi win. "

Volvo World Match Play Graeme McDowell 25 EW @ 9.5 Win 319

"The course has been likened to Pebble Beach where he won the US Open. Has also been in good form winning a couple of weeks ago at the Heritage. Plus has a good matchplay record, runner up in this last week, quarter finalist at the Accenture, and of course his Ryder Cup record. "

Benfica v Chelsea Chelsea 50 Win @ 2.63 Win 81

"Benfica’s form has dropped since drawing with Newcastle in the 2nd leg of the quarter final, they’ve won 3 & drawn 3 in that time, losing in Turkey in the semi & to Porto at the weekend, in what was virtually a title decider. Chelski are unbeaten in their last 8, winning 6. Defence is the issue for both sides with Benfica having just the 1 clean sheet & Chelski 3. Goals a plenty then and I can see Chelski coming out on top as they have goals across the park, from Terry at set pieces, Luiz screamers, Mata & Oscar, as well as Frank’s belly, whereas Benfica seem a little over reliant on Cardozo in this comp. Plus Chelski have the confidence from their recent form, rather than the disappointment of possibly losing the league at the weekend, and also have recent final experience they can draw on. "

The Players Championship Henrik Stenson 25 EW @ 61 Win 217

"A former winner here in 2009 & also 3rd on debut in 06, 10th & 23rd in between. Then as he struggled with his driving missed the cut in 2010 & 11, but bounced back with 15th last year as his game started to improve again. Currently leads the tour in total driving & greens in regulation, as well as 3rd in fairways hit. Did miss the cut last week but was 18th, 2nd & 8th before that, so generally in good form. "

Turkish Airlines Ladies Open Charley Hull 25 EW @ 21 Win 100

"Young 17 year old Hull was 5th here last year as an amateur shooting 3 rounds of even par 73 & a 1 under 72, one of just 13 to finish under par in the 4 years the event's been held. Has two 2nd place finishes in the events played this year. Odds of 20-1 seem good value and no doubt helped by 2012 order of merit winner Ciganda & twice winner here Boeljon. "

Man City v Wigan Man City 50 Win @ 1.36 Lose (50)

"This has one sided all over it, big spending Shitty full of top internationals who are 2nd in the league, against a side struggling once again to maintain their premiership status once again. In their last 7 meetings, Shitty have won all 7 scored 13 & have not conceded. After the semi-final draw I knew it would be a one sided final and events since then haven’t changed that view, Wigan’s last gasp loss in the week in particular. So to see odds of 1.35 for Shitty I think is good value. "

Indonesian Masters Thongchai Jaidee 25 EW @ 17 Win 75

"He was runner up in 2011 when a final round 65 closed the gap on winner Westwood. Only 29th last year, let down by a couple of poor rounds. Current form is improving again with 43rd, 33rd, 10th & 6th last week. Had started the season well with a 3rd & a pair of 9th's before losing a little form, but is now trending in the right direction. "

Insperity Championship Fred Funk 25 EW @ 26 Lose (50)

"Funk won this last year and was also 3rd back in 2008. In his 4 visits is yet to shoot over par, and averages 69.58 which is the 2nd best average in the field. After starting the season solidly with 3 top 20's & a 6th in the first 4 events, dropped to a 48th, but has bounced back since then with 7th two weeks ago & was 2nd last week. Coming into form nicely and at 25-1 seems better value than the top 2 in the betting despite their good records here also. "

Kingsmill Championship Paula Creamer 25 EW @ 21 Lose (50)

"Lost the playoff last year after 9 holes with Shin, and was also 4th in both 06 & 07, 16th & 34th in her other visits. Averages 69.60, & has 65% of rounds under par, in both cases pretty much beaten only by those with one visit here. Solid form as well with 6 top 20's in a row & 11th last week. "

Montecchia Golf Open Sam Little 25 EW @ 67 Lose (50)

"One of the few in the field to play here in the previous events in 02 & 01, where he played consistently with 3 even par rounds & a 69 to finish 47th in 2001. A previous 3 time winner in 2011 he's showed he still has the class at this level with 11th last week on his debut on tour. That after a 67th the week before on the main tour, and 4 missed cuts before that, so current form is going in the right direction. "

Stadion Athens Classic Hudson Swafford 25 EW @ 41 Lose (50)

"The University of Georgia graduate won this last year at the University of Georgia GC, i.e. his home course. Shot the low round 62 in the final round to grab the win. UGA graduates have won for the last two years as well, so clearly knowing the course intimately helps. Did start the season slowing with 3 missed cuts in 6 & not troubling the top 30, but returned to some form last week with 11th. "

Volvo China Open Joost Luiten 25 EW @ 34 Lose (50)

"He was 18th here last year opening with a 66, but not quite able to put all 4 rounds together. Has been in solid form recently as well with 22nd, 15th & 21st in his last 3 events. "

Wells Fargo Championship Webb Simpson 25 EW @ 17 Lose (50)

"He led going into the final round last year before ending up a shot outside the playoff, and had also been 21st in 2011. Did miss the cut in the two years before that, but has improved since then. Reasonable form with a playoff loss last time out 2 weeks ago, and 5 top 26 finishes in the previous 7 events before that. Is also a local living in Charlotte. "

Benfica v Fenerbahce Benfica 50 Win @ 1.45 Win 22

"Fenerbache grabbed a 1-0 win at home which was Benfica’s first defeat in 90 mins since travelling to Moscow in Oct. At home this season the only teams to come away with anything are the other 3 teams in the top 4 in the league & the once great Barca. Conceded just 4 goals in their last 10 at home with 6 clean sheets. Fenerbache have done well away from home in this comp with 4 wins & a draw, but they have only scored more than 1 on one occasion, but have kept 4 clean sheets. Therefore this would seem as though it will be quite low scoring, however Benfica do score plenty at home, 27 in the last 10 & that I think will be enough to see them win the home leg and go through. "

Chelsea v Basel Chelsea 50 Win @ 1.5 Win 25

"Chelski take a good 2-1 win back to the Bridge and with their home form should be able to grab another win here, especially as Basel only scored with a disputed penalty. Have won 10 of their last 11 at home, only Sparta Prague grabbing a draw, conceding no more than one goal in a game and 5 clean sheets. Basel followed the loss last week with a 3-0 home loss in the league so will have had their confidence dented. They’ve drawn 4 of their 6 away games in this comp, losing the other 2. Difficult really not to see Chelski get the job done here, strong at home and defensively sound so will be hard for Basel to breakdown which they must do and Chelski will be able to hit them on the break with the pace of Moses wide, passing of Hazard & belly of Fat Frank. Barcelona v Bayern Munich Draw 50 Win @ 4.5 Lose (50)

"No-one saw the 4-0 demolition of Barca coming, and a large part of the blame seems to be on a partially fit Messi. So is really is he fully fit now, having only played half an hour at the weekend, did score and helped rescue a point for Barca. Home form is still good, only the top teams have come away with a result, Real have inflicted the only defeat and also drawn. That said there is no doubting that Bayern are also a top side, they took it easy at the weekend scoring just once after 4 games in a row scoring 4 or more. In the 10 games since they nearly threw away a 3-0 lead to Arsenal they’ve won all 10 scoring 37 & conceding 5, 3 when at least 5-0 up. I think Arsenal may have scuppered Barca’s chances as I can’t see Bayern making the same mistakes twice, plus with Messi not his usual force Barca do seem weaker and Bayern have also shown how effective they are on the break. So I can see this being a fairly even contest and if Barca struggle to score could easily fizzle out to a goalless draw. "

The Crowns* Tomohiro Kondo 25 EW @ 36 Lose (50)

"He was the winner here in 08, and top 10 in the two years before, has 8 top 25 finishes in the last 11 years, and one of 20 in the field to average under par with 69.64. 13th & 7th in the last couple of weeks so looks like he's coming into form, and 35-1 looks better value than the 12-1 on Jones who's record here isn't quite as good. "

Real Madrid v Borussia Dortmund Real Madrid 50 Win @ 1.57 Win 28

"A big surprise that Dortmund won this so easily last week and that’s 6 straight wins for them so form is good, score plenty with 21 goals but do concede with 7 in those games. Have drawn 4 of their 5 away games in this comp this season, winning the other against Ajax, including a 2-2 draw with Real. Real are very strong at home, unbeaten, winning 22 of their 27 home games, drawing with Man U, Barca, Dortmund, Valencia & Espanyol, apart from Espanyol you’d have to say it’s only the best that can get something at the Bernabeu. Scored at least 3 in their last 4 home games, but only kept a cleansheet against Galatasaray. With Real so strong at home I can’t see Dortmund winning this, especially as Real need the win to stand any chance of overturning the 4-1 deficit. The real issue is whether Dortmund will be able to grab a goal or two on the break to even things out, and I think they might get 1 but could well end up conceding more, especially if they try to park the bus too early, a la Bayern against Arsenal, so home win for me. Ballantines Championship Alexander Noren 25 EW @ 17 Lose (50)

"Has the best record here of those who have been here twice finishing 5th & 7th, and one of 4 to average under 70. Good current form, 6th in Malaysia last time out & 20th against the World's best at the Cadillac. "

Ballantines Championship Peter Uihlein 25 EW @ 41 Lose (50)

"Is making his debut here but the youngster arrives in good form with 3 top 10's in his last 4 events, including 8th last week in Spain where he dropped in the last round. 40-1 seems good value and the two downsides are the fact he his making his debut here, but he is in most events, and he has yet to win but is a former US Amateur champ so knows how to get over the line. "

Challenge de Madrid Tim Sluiter 25 EW @ 26 Lose (50)

"He was 18th here when the main tour visited for the Madrid Masters in 2011. Whilst on his last 2 outings on this tour has been 2nd twice & 5th. So has the experience of the course and the quality to do well on this tour. "

Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf Cook/Pavin 25 EW @ 13 Lose (50)

"Cook has been 4th, 3rd & 2nd twice in this event, and managed a virtual solo 65 in the opening round in 2011 before withdrawing after regular partner Sindelar injured himself early in the round. He averages 63.08, nearly half a shot better than all but Faxon who played last year for the first time. He's joined by Pavin this time who has been 3rd & 6th in the last two years, although only 18th a in 2010. Worry for the pair is current form, Pavin was 20th & 27th in his last two events and Cook 32nd, 12th & 26th last week, although he did win in Hawaii to start the year, and a 3rd as well. Ultimately though I think that just pushes their odds out nicely and 14-1 seems good value. "

North Texas LPGA Shootout Caroline Hedwall 25 EW @ 26 Lose (50)

"In good form with 18th, 21st, 3rd & 9th in her last 4 events. At 33-1 she seems good value compared to the likes of Pettersen at 10-1 who is going for back to back wins, & Lewis at 8-1 who has dropped slighty in form since her fast start to the year. "

South Georgia Classic Garth Mulroy 25 EW @ 29 Lose (50)

"The 2009 winner here has also been 57th, 24th, & 18th in his other visits, and averages 71.25 which is 3rd best of those with more than 1 visit. Has been in good form in Africa on the European & Sunshine Tour with 3 top 10's, a pair of 16ths and 28th last time out in Morocco. "

Tsuruya Open Brendan Jones 25 EW @ 15 Win 25

"Has by far the best record here, 3 wins in 04, 06 & 07, 4th in 08 & 2010, plus 6th in 2003, worst result is 21st in 2011. Has the most under par rounds with 30, or 79% which is best of those here more than once. Averages under 69 per round, again the best of those with more than one visit. Showed a return to form last week with 7th, so I think he deserves to be 7-1 not Fujita even though the latter does have 2 wins here in 3 years. "

Zurich Classic of New Orleans Jason Dufner 25 EW @ 17 Lose (50)

"He's been top 10 here for the last 4 years including the winner last year. His worst resukt being 44th on debut on 07. Has the best average round of those that have been here ore than once at 69.30, and 75% of rounds under par. Was 35th last week & 20th at the Masters, although had missed the cut before that at Bay Hill. Ok form but not great and so has helped pushed the odds out nicely. "

2:35 Beverley Izzy Boy 25 EW NAP @ SP Lose (50)
Basel v Chelsea Basel 50 Win @ 2.88 Lose (50)

"Chelski’s away form is poor, just a 3-0 win to Fulham in the last 6, and that was hardly a travel. Losing in both previous rounds of this to Rubin & Steaua, and only beating Sparta Prague late on. Basel have showed they can compete on this stage as well drawing both legs with Chelski’s league rivals Tottenham in the last round, and beating Bayern 1-0 at home on the knockout stages last year. Won the two rounds prior to the last 2-0 at home each time & beat Sporting Lisbon 3-0 in the group stages. So I don’t think this will be Chelski’s night, Basel keep it tight at the back, the two goals by Spurs accounting for most of the 3 they’ve conceded at home since Xmas, and with Torres up front it could be argued they lack someone with a bit of bite up front to breakdown that defence. A home win then, which I guess will leave Ivanovic foaming at the mouth, or will that be rabies….. "

Fenerbahce v Benfica Draw 50 Win @ 3.4 Lose (50)

"Benfica have lost just twice this season, away to Spartak Moscow and at home to the once mighty Barca, both in the group stages the Chumps League. Have won 4 of their last 5 away, drawing to Newcastle in the last round, with 3 clean sheets. Beaten Leverkusen & Bordeaux away in the earlier rounds. Fenerbache come into this off a 2-0 loss at the weekend and just 1 win in 4, although that does include a draw away to Lazio in the last round. Struggled a little at home only beating 10 man BATE 1-0, & drawing with Plzen. Benfica are the faves for this and I can sort of see why on form, however in the last round Fenerbache showed Lazio they can compete, and so while Benfica should win at home here they may struggle a little and so I will go for a draw. "
