Two OBrien Horses Fancied For Royal Ascot Glory
Tuesday 10 June 2008 at 09:42
Haradasun and Yeats have been chosen as two horses capable of riding to glory at Royal Ascot when it gets underway next week.
The Aidan O'Brien trained mounts were picked by PA Sport as being among the ten horses to watch out for during the five-day long event.
Yeats is on for a hat-trick of wins in the Ascot Gold Cup and "legendary status" is on the cards for the seven-year-old should he manage his third successive victory.
"He faces his toughest test to date up against Andre Fabre's Coastal Path, unbeaten in six races, but racing needs champions and Yeats would be a deserving one," journalist Nick Robson remarked.
Yeats is the 6/4 favourite with Bet 365 to win his race at Ascot, while Coastal Path is rated second at 4/1 with William Hill.
Meanwhile Haradasun, who is likely to run in the Queen Anne Stakes, "will be in the shake-up, wherever that is", the reporter added.
Punters can get odds of 33/1 on the horse at Coral to win that race on June 17th.
