Hughes Odds Take A Tumble Next Chelsea Manager Betting
Tuesday 03 June 2008 at 12:33
Mark Hughes is the new favourite to take over as Next Chelsea Manager just a day after he was installed as an odds on favourite to succeed Sven-Goran Eriksson as Next Man City Manager.
Money For Hughes Piles Up
Hughes was 10/1 on Monday morning to succeed Avram Grant but on Tuesday his odds crashed to as low as 11/8 with Stan James although Coral are trying to hold firm at 9/4.
Hughes is still odds on to take over the Manchester City post so whatever happens it seems he is set to leave Blackburn.
Press Link Ancellotti Again
Specualtion in Tuesday's newspapers was rife that Chelsea would be going back to AC Milan to try to talk to coach Carlo Ancellotti having initially been turned down according to reports on the Italian club's official website. Despite these reports Ancellotti is on the drift and can be backed as big as 7/1 with Coral.
Coral Fancy Mancini
With Coral holding best price on both Hughes and Ancllotti it is interesting to see who they are shortest price about. Roberto Mancini, former favourite for the job, is 6/1 with SkyBet but Coral are lowest price about the Italian at 4/1.
Rijkaard On The Drift Again
It seems each day Frank Rijkaard is either backed into favouritism or on the drift in the next Chelsea manager betting and today he is out to 7/2 with SkyBet. This could be a decent trade given the yoyo nature of the Dutchman's price.
Big Phil Also Backed For Chelsea Job
Luiz Felipe Scolari has also been backed in the next Chelsea manager betting today and is 3/1 with Stan James, the shortest price he has reached since betting began.
