Barack Obama Odds On In Next US President Betting Odds
Friday 13 June 2008 at 12:38
Since Hilary Clinton conceded defeat to Barack Obama in the race to be the Democratic nominee he has been extremely well backed to be the next US President and he is just 1/2 to become President in November with Paddy Power.
John McCain In Opposition
The US President Betting is usually a two horse race and the main contender alongside Obama is the Republican John McCain. McCain is a war veteran and apparently a good singer which might help his popularity but he trails Obama in the US President Odds at 6/4 with Paddy Power.
Clinton Still In The Betting
Paddy Power have four more candidates priced up. Hilary Clinton is now 18/1and Al Gore is 50/1. Betting is completed by Ron Paul and Michael Bloomberg who ar both 100/1.
Stick To Obama And McCain
The two to consider though are Barack Obama and John McCain who are the two in with a chance of replacing President George Bush at the end of the year. The key point about Obama is he would become the first black President of the US and American comedian Chris Rock recently joked:
George Bush has made it hard for a white man to run for President.
This was of course referring to the battle between Obama and Clinton to become the Democratic nominee but he may actually have had a point and the betting certainly points towards a Barack Obama victory.
