Defending British Masters Champion Lee Westwood courted plenty of controversy last week at the Ryder Cup when he felt the American crowds had been over zealous in supporting their team.
Westwood will be glad to be back in the relative calm of the West Midlands and The Belfry but he is in for a very competitive few days in his attempt to defend his title.
The man from Worksop is 12/1 clear favourite this week with a number of firms including SkyBet, Stan James and Blue Square.

Westwoods team mate Graham McDowell has also elected to play this week and he has the momentum of coming back from America after a good personal performance at Valhalla and he rates a 20/1 chance with Ladbrokes A number of former Ryder Cup players from previously winning sides who are taking part this week but two of particular interest are Darren Clarke and Colin Montgomerie.
Clarke And Montgomerie Set To Make More Headlines
Darren Clarke was the man to miss out when Ian Poulter got the nod from European Nick Faldo and the Irishman will be keen to show he is still in good form after his two recent wins. He is a best priced 30/1 with Stan James.
Colin Montgomerie has been the lynchpin of European Ryder Cup efforts in the last few victories and perhaps he would have made the difference this time. Monty is 50/1 with Coral to make more golfing headlines by lifting the British Masters title ten years after his first victory in this event in 1998.
