Hamilton Confident Of F1 Drivers Championship Success
Monday 29 September 2008 at 11:10
Lewis Hamilton is confident that he will justify his short odds to win the F1 Drivers Championship by going one better than last year.
Hamilton Feeling Good With Three Races To Go
Hamilton has a further six point lead over Ferrari's Felipe Massa after coming third in the Singapore Grand Prix at the weekend. The total lead is now seven points and Hamilton told the BBC how he felt with three races still to go:
A podium is a great result. I am quite happy with seven points.
Hamilton Hot Favourite For Glory
Hamilton is just 1/3 with Paddy Power and Blue Square to win the 2008 F1 Drivers Championship and he can afford to finish second to Massa in the remaining three races and still be victorious. Massa is the second favourite to win at 5/2 with Bet365 and SkyBet. It is effectively a two horse race now and Hamilton is way in front.
Ferrari Still Expected To Gain Consolation Prize
Ferrari are still expected to win the Constructors Championship and can be backed at 5/6 with William Hill to do so with Mclaren 5/4 with Coral and Totesport.
