Cheryl Cole Hot Favourite To Be X Factor Winning Manager Since Landing The Girls
Friday 10 October 2008 at 11:27
Cheryl Cole is the bookies' hot favourite to mentor the winner of X Factor after she was handed the 14-24 year old girls to manage. This category contains three of the top four acts in the betting so she clearly has plenty of talent on her hands.
Cheryl Looking To Start With A Win
Cheryl is even money with both Ladbrokes and Coral to be the winning manager but most bookies have her as an odds on chance. Paddy Power seem most convinced she will win as they offer just 4/5. Her best hope is X Factor favourite Alexandra Burke who is 7/2 with SkyBet and Bet365 to win the show. She also has Laura White (11/2 Totesport) and Diana Vickers (8/1 Coral) to manage as well.
Simon Cowell Has Strong Contender In Austin Drage
The next best in the betting is Simon Cowell who has been handed the 14-24 year old boys. This is often the strongest category having produced the likes of Shane Ward and Leon Jackson. His best hope by some way is Austin Drage who is 9/2 to win X Factor with Sportingbet. His other two acts are Eoghan Quigg (12/1 Paddy Power) and Scott Bruton (33/1 Blue Square).
Dannii Looking For Second Winner In A Row
Dannii Minogue, last year's winning manager, will manage the 25 and overs and she is 6/1 to be the winning manager with Bet365. She will be mentoring former favourite Rachel Hylton (9/1 Paddy Power), Ruth Lorenzo (22/1 Bet365) and Danny Evans (40/1 Stan James).
Louis Walsh Hoping To Manage First Group Winner
Louis Walsh is the complete outsider at 8/1 with Bet365. He has been handed the groups to mentor which is usually a weak category (groups have never won X Factor) but they have gone close with Journey South and this year's group do look stronger than usual. Louis is mentoring JLS (11/1 Blue Square), Bad Lashes (33/1 Paddy Power) and Girl Band (80/1 Sportingbet).
