David Morrisey Next Doctor Who Odds Shorten Once Again
Thursday 06 November 2008 at 12:28
Next Doctor Who betting has seen sustained support for David Morrisey to get the job and he has hardened as favourite to play the time lord.
Clues In Christmas Special Point To David Morrisey
Morrisey was 5/1 second favourite for the job after the current Doctor, David Tennant, announced he would be stepping down from the job. He was then made 3/1 faavourite after it emerged that he will be in the Doctor Who Christmas special that is called ‘The Next Doctor'. Further support means he is now the 2/1 favourite to take over the role with Paddy Power.
Patterson Still In With A Chance To Continue Doctor Who Career
The original favourite, Joseph Patterson, has already appeared in two episodes of the show as Roderick. He would make history as the first black Doctor Who and he is 6/1 to get the job as the Doctor with Paddy Power.
Richard E. Grant And Hugh Laurie In The Running
Richard E. Grant would be an interesting choice as he is somewhat extravagant and he also has the look and he is 16/1 with Paddy Power whilst Hugh Laurie, who is currently having plenty of success in the States with House, is 50/1. For a full list of contenders for the job, which include Gary Oldman and Vinnie Jones, visit the Paddy Power website and look under Novelty Bets and TV.
