Gus Poyet Fancied To Make Return In Next Leeds United Manager Betting Odds
Wednesday 17 December 2008 at 12:37
SkyBet have started betting on who replace Gary McAllister as manager of Leeds United – before the Scot is even sacked from his position as boss at Elland road!
McAllister Job Hangs In Balance
Leeds United sit in eighth place in League One, four points away from the playoffs. They were expected by most to win the league having reached the playoff final last year and it seems McAllister could soon be given the axe just a year after he was given the job.
Joint Favourites Include Gus Poyet
There are joint favourites to take the job, former assistant manager Gus Poyet, ex Watford manager Aidy Boothroyd and ex Derby boss Billy Davies. All three are 7/1 with SkyBet. Poyet left Leeds to become assistant manager at Tottenham but has since been relived of that position. He could fancy a return to Elland Road whilst Boothroyd and Davies are surely keen to get back into management.
Blacpool Boss Amongst Favourites
Sitting at 8/1 with SkyBet is Simon Grayson, the current boss of Blackpool. Grayson is a former Leeds United player and would surely relish becoming the Next Leeds Utd Manager.
Dowie And Royle Available At 12/1
Other well known names being linked with the job are Iain Dowie, a 12/1 shot with SkyBet, and Joe Royle who is also 12/1 with SkyBet.
Roy Keane Or David O'Leary Could Manage Leeds
To find the odds on Roy Keane, Paul Ince, David O'Leary or Gianluca Vialli landing the job and to find out who else is being linked with the job visit the SkyBet website and look under Manager Specials in Football Betting.
