Danny Boyle, winner of the Golden Globe for Best Director for his film Slumdog Millionaire, is the red hot favourite to win yet another accolade at the Oscars on the 22nd of February.
Danny Boyle Has Already Won The Golden Globe
Boyle, who has directed Trainspotting, The Beach and 28 Days Later, directs a spell bounding tale in Slumdog Millionaire and as his Golden globe for Best Director was well expected, as is the Oscar for Best Director. Danny Boyle is 1/2 with Ladbrokes and that looks a great bet at this stage.
David Fincher Set To Give Danny Boyle A Run For His Money
David Fincher is the second favourite in the Best Director betting for his film The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button. The film tells the unusual story of a man who ages backwards. Fincher is now stranger to critical acclaim, he directed Seven and Fight Club amongst other films, which both starred Brad Pitt, as does his latest effort. Fincher is 9/2 with Boylesports.

Ron Howard, who directed Frost/Nixon is 14/1 with Bet365 and he is expected to make up the also rans alongside Gus Van Sant (16/1 SkyBet) who is nominated for Milk and Stephen Daldry (20/1 Ladbrokes) who is up for The Reader.
