 No surprise, Kate Winslet is favourite to win the Oscars Best Actress this year but there is a little surprise in that she was nominated for The Reader rather than Revolutionary Road.
Nomination Number Six For Winslet
Winslet won the Best Supporting Actress for The Reader at the Golden Globes and Best Actress for Revolutionary Road. It seems a little odd that she has been nominated as Best Actress for a role she won Best Supporting Actress at the Golden Globes. She is the 5/4 favourite with Boylesports none the less but it is a little worrying that she has been nominated for five academy awards prior to this and is still yet to win. Anne Hathaway To Win Oscar?
Anne Hathaway was favourite to win the Best Actress at the Golden Globes for her role in Rachel Getting Married but she missed out to Winslet.
