Brit Awards Best Male Solo Artist Expected To Be Either James Morrison Or Will Young
Friday 30 January 2009 at 11:15
According to the betting for the Best British Male Solo Artist at this year's Brit Awards the hot favourites are James Morrison and Will Young. With previous awards containing acts such as Robbie Williams it does look a bit of a weak year this time around but that doesn't mean there aren't good bets to be had.
James Morrison Favourite For Brit
James Morrison is the man most likely to win, he can be backed at even money with Paddy Power. That means a bet on Morrison will double your money for a fairly short term investment. It is a testament to Morrison's success that he was recently able to collaborate with International star Nelly Furtado.
Popstars Winner Still Going Strong
Will Young, a reality TV success, is the second favourite and he is 9/4 with Paddy Power. He released his fourth album, Let It Go, in 2008 and still continues to be a massive success. He is likely to give James Morrison most to do.
Paul Weller Still Creating Hits
Veteran musician Paul Weller is the third favourite and he is 7/2 with Paddy Power to win the Brit Award. Weller's ninth studio album, 22 Dreams, went to number one last year in the album charts when it was released and there is an outside chance that the old timer could grab the award.
The Streets And Ian Brown Nominated
The two outsiders are The Streets and Ian Brown, who are both 10/1 with Paddy Power. They both seem fairly unlikely to win but at big odds many will be willing to risk it.
