Malaysian Grand Prix Odds Have Jenson Button And Brawn GP Team Mate As Favourites
Friday 03 April 2009 at 10:56
The Malaysian Grand Prix takes place this weekend and last week's Australian Grand Prix winner Jenson Button is favourite to make it two out of two for new team Brawn GP.
Jenson Button Favourite Once Again
Button was extremely well backed to win last week's Grand Prix and as a result of that victory he is now the favourite to win the F1 Drivers Championship. He can be backed at 11/4 with Boylesports and victory this weekend will cement his place at the top of the leader board. Jenson Button is a stand out price of 9/4 with Stan James to win the Malaysian Grand Prix.
Barrichello Hoping To Make It Another Brawn GP 1-2
Next best in the betting is Button's Brawn GP team mate, Rubens Barrichello, who finished second last week to make it a one two for Brawn GP. Barrichello is 9/2 with Paddy Power and Stan James to go one better this week and 13/2 with Stan James to win the F1 Drivers Championship. With such a god start for Brawn GP it is no surprise that they are now 7/4 with Boylesports to win the Drivers Championship.
Ferrari Need To Improve This Week
Ferrari, who are still the favourites to win the Constructors Championship at 23/20 with Stan James, have the next two favourites in the betting for Malaysia. Kimi Raikkonen, who failed to gain any points last week, is 6/1 with Paddy Power to win the Malaysian Grand Prix whilst team mate Felipe Massa is 13/2 with Paddy Power.
Lewis Hamilton Available At Big Odds
This means it could be another bad week for Lewis Hamilton. He was this week disqualified from the Australian Grand Prix and he is now as big as 18/1 with Paddy Power and Stan James to win the Malaysian Grand Prix. It looks as though it will be harder than anticipated to win the F1 Drivers Championship once again, he is out to 7/1 with Paddy Power and Stan James to retain his title.
