Scottish Grand National Betting Odds 2009
Monday 06 April 2009 at 12:41
Scottish Grand National Betting Odds 2009 are headed by Chief Dan George with just a week and a half until the big race. The Scottish Grand National takes place at Ayr on Saturday 18th April.
Chief Dan George Still Ahead Of Handicapper
Chief Dan George is a novice chaser trained by James Moffat and can be backed at 10/1 with Stan James. Chief Dan George is unproven over a trip as far as four miles plus but he loves good ground and is a decent jumper. Importantly he is still very unexposed and probably still well ahead of the handicapper.
Tricky Trickster Looks The One Beat
The general second favourite for the Scottish Grand National is Tricky Trickster who is trained by Nigel Twiston-Davies. Tricky Twister has had just seven runs in his career, just four of which have been over fences. He won the four mile chase at the Cheltenham Festival very easily and seemed to relish the step up in trip. He is 10/1 with Bet365 and Coral and is probably the one they all have to beat.
Nine De Sivola Hoping To Record Long Overdue Win
Nine De Sivola also ran in the four miler at Cheltenham and ran on very strongly for third having been set to plenty to do. He has never won over fences but has finished second in this race, the Irish Grand National and five other chases. It could be his time to finally win and he is 12/1 with Bet365.
The Full Scottish Grand National Betting
