Hatton Manny Fight Odds
Friday 01 May 2009 at 11:22
Ricky Hatton is a 7/4 chance with Paddy Power in his fight with Manny Pacquiao for the IBO Light Welterweight Title in Las Vegas on Sunday morning. Manny Pacquiao is a best price of 1/2 with Coral and Bet365
Rumours Of Unrest In Hatton Training Camp
Rumours have been circulating in the lead up to the big fight that there has been disagreement in the Ricky Hatton training camp and the new man in charge, Floyd Mayweather Sr, has been trying to play down the extent of any flare-ups. Suggestions of personality clashes between Mayweather and assistant trainer Lee Beard have been denied.
Training tensions don't seem to have deterred punters who have forced the Hitman's price in from 2/1 early in the week into the 7/4 now available with Paddy Power.
Will Weight Tell On Manny?
Manny Pacquiao is rated the best pound for pound boxer in the world and has a record of 48 victories and just three defeats but this the fourth different weight he has fought at in his last four fights – he has won all the previous three but you would think that the inconsistency in his fighting weight may catch up with him at some point, especially against a body puncher such as Hatton.
Will It Be An Early Finish?
An explosive night looks assured on May 2nd and Hatton could surprise and looks a decent bet. For those wanting a more speculative wager try combining either fighter to win in an early round (rounds 1,2 or 3) as this looks certain to be a high octane encounter and a fight to remember.
Bet 365 have Hatton to win in Rounds 1-3 priced at 18/1 and the same firm have Pacquiao to win in the first three rounds at 12/1.
