Eurovision Song Contest Betting
Friday 15 May 2009 at 12:37
Eurovision Song Contest Betting has possibly had it biggest year in 2009 and it seems there are several bad results for bookmakers ahead of Saturday's final, for which Norway are the hot favourites.
Norway Looking Strong Favourites
Norway have been strongly backed in the past week and whilst their position as favourites has never been in doubt, the biggest question has been will they be odds on by Saturday. The answer is yes. They are currently best priced 11/10 with Totesport but most bookies offer an odds on price. If the 11/10 with Totesport goes then you can get evens at Stan James, Coral and William Hill.
UK Still Available at 12/1
The UK, having put up some awful efforts in recent years, have gone a different route to finding their entrant this year and they hold a great chance with Jade Ewen, singing ‘My Time' which was written by Andrew Lloyd Webber. The UK had been as big as 40/1 but a massive gamble has led to a single figure price being offered by most bookies. The UK can still be backed at 12/1 with Bet365, Paddy Power, Stan James, Coral and William Hill.
Other Interesting Bets
Other countries that are expected to do well on Saturday include Greece who are 6/1 with Boylesports and Totesport, Turkey who are 12/1 with Boylesports and Stan James and at bigger prices Ukraine are interesting at 28/1 with Boylesports and Germany are worth a bet at 100/1 with Sportingbet.
